Amazon Customer: Bought this fan to make it bearable to work in my garage in Florida during the summer. Great breeze. 2 speeds but not enough difference between the 2 so will always run on high. Not fancy but gets the job done. Overall, I’m happy with it as a shop fan.

Assembly: Gonna need some tools. The nuts strip easily so be careful not to create more problems for yourself. While everything is sturdy, it’s clear there are some (acceptable, IMO) corners cut to keep this fan’s price low.

Oscillation: It has a *mechanical* oscillation. To change the oscillation from on/off, you have to use a screwdriver to remove and replace the arm to the appropriate position. It’s not hard to do, but does require a screwdriver. It is not as easy as flipping a switch or pushing a button to change the oscillation on/off. Range of oscillation is solid.

Sturdiness: Sturdy base. Can spin the fan to the spot needed pretty easily. The knob to raise and lower the fan height takes some fairly serious cranking to get the fan to stay at the height you want.

Overall, it does exactly what I needed. There are better fans for higher prices. I might rethink it next time and get a fan with...

bssbss: This fan seems to have quality, heavy-duty components that just don't fit together very well. First, the delivery was terrible. Looked like the box had fallen off the truck and repaired with brown packaging tape. After assembly and operation, the blades and/or cage was bent which caused the blades to make contact with the cage causing an awful noise. After some bending back into place, it got better but would still make occasional contact. The knob that kept the height set was not long enough and the weight of the fan/motor was too heavy to keep it in place. The fan kept sliding back down to the lowest position. Additionally, in order to tilt the fan up/down, a bolt had to be loosened and tightened with tools. Even as tight as I could make it, it still was not strong enough to hold the fan in place and kept tilting down as low as it would go. This did a great job of keeping my feet cool, but that's about all.

Next, in order to change from stationary to oscillating, a screw had to be removed and re-secured in a different position. To change it back to oscillating, the screw had to be replaced to the original position. This means the fan positioning (tilt and oscillation)...

Amazon Customer: Previously an owner of iliving floor fans which produce good air amounts, but recently wanted the air to come from higher up, due to my new house being bigger and hotter in the rooms, without having to mount a floor fan on the wall. So I looked to the same brand but for pedestals and found this one. The assembly wasn't the easiest as there's not really step by step instructions but more acknowledging all the parts it has but it is definitely a HUGE and heavy fan that literally sounds like a wind tunnel and blows wayyy more air then the floor fans, so if you don't mind very loud wind/ white noise like then this fan is for you! Another point is that this fan at the 8400 cfm model at least does oscillate but it's not like your normal fans and just hitting a button. You will have to unscrew and adjust a ring if you wish to have it oscillate. Overall not disappointed as I got what i paid for in the amount of air being produced!

Iris: The fan is powerful, the only complaint I have is that you need a tool to have it oscillate, it’s not just a button. It’s pretty heavy so we leave it on our deck but we bought a waterproof cover to keep the blades from rusting and to cover the motor.
