Linda A Miller: The media could not be loaded. This Igloo Cooler is very well built and seems like it will hold up to use for a long time. I tested it on a road trip where I stayed overnight at a campground and had it sitting in my van the whole time. I put ice in it on a Monday, camped overnight, came home and left it and drinks in the cooler in the van.The video shows what I find when I go out to the van for a look on the following Friday to see if there was any ice left and well, the video shows that there still was ice! Sure it had some water, but, quite a bit of ice still. The drinks were very cold still. Now, one thing that some may see as a con is that it doesn't have a drain plug, but, for me, it was what I wanted because I have heard stories about the drain plugs leaking water out and since I was going to have this sitting in my van I did not want the risk water leakage in my van. It's not that big of deal to dump it out when you are finished using the cooler.
The latches like the ones here on some other brand coolers, I have read were too hard to pull and then some of them broke eventually from having to pull them so hard and stretching them so much. The latches on the Igloo...

Toomuchnoise: This was a gigantic upgrade from my $25 Coleman Cooler. That's was OK for a day at the beach but this Igloo means you don't need to make an ice run more than a couples times a week, even if it's really hot.
There are no real "cons" to this cooler. Just rando considerations:
I can't imagine what is "Cool Riser Technology". It seems like it's just plastic and foam. But the walls are thick.
The 25 quart is not very big inside. It was fine for one, maybe two people. A family will want a bigger one.
Block ice lasts muh longer than ice cubes.
It's kind of clunky to carry around. I added a shoulder strap which helps a little. It has loops, maybe for this purpose.
I dropped it from about three or four feet, full of food, with no sign of damage. I had small animals try to get into it with no luck. I suspect a determined bear could.
It has no drain plug, so you must tip it on its side, to drain it.
The rubber latches are quirky but, because they are stretchy, they have a little forgiveness if the cooler is overloaded. (very little, but it still helps)
It's not great as a side table. The lid is not perfectly flat. (I've had my...

Jay OctavariumJay Octavarium: Apparently I read so many cooler reviews prior to buying this one, my other half now tells strangers I am a "cooler expert." I am not, but I did seriously consider over 50 coolers from $10 to the $200+ YETI and ORCA brand versions in similar capacity.
I was almost checked out on an ORCA when I read several recent reviews about manufacturing faults (which happen even on expensive items) followed by terrible customer service and warranty redemption. In the end I figured while I knew the heavy hitting brands were amazing at what they do, I didn't want to risk being the 1 in 100 who got screwed while paying the big bucks. This seemed the most reasonable chance.
I was most nervous of all the reports of the handle pegs coming out, or the brackets loosening- but noticed many of these complaints were tied to a specific time frame of manufacturing and a few specific models/colors.
I didn't care too much about it holding up to rough handling, as we bought it for road trips in the back of our CR-V, but I did want it to 1. Not leak, 2. Be able to support my chonky 200lb butt as a seat in a pinch, and 3. Keep my items chilled for a minimum of 48 hours with proper...

Snowback: Ive owned a larger version of this cooler for a few years. It has held up really well and I anticipate this smaller cooler will hold up too. Good product for those of us that cannot stomach paying $200+ for a small travel cooler (Yeti). Keeps things cold. Can stand or sit on it without worrying about it breaking. Very sturdy cooler.
