IAMS Proactive Health Adult Indoor Weight & Hairball Care Dry Cat Food with Salmon and Chicken

Duane Cutlip: We've been using "Pretty Litter" (tm) for a while which revealed the felines might be having some alimentary issues. We decided to try a food change, first. While we want to treat our furry friends to the Life of Riley, we don't really have a budge for it. This is about 50 cents a pound more than what we were using, but the ingredient list was reputed to be much better.

A couple of weeks in, the cats love it, and the litter pan reveals that they must be enjoying a much better digestive function. We haven't used it long enough to tell big differences in their coat or weight, or other things, but we think that what we've seen already is proof enough that we made a good switch.

MindSetOnBeach: I'm on a shoestring budget and I tried to put my cats on one too. Unfortunately, when I bought cheaper food, they ate double the amount and it actually ended up costing me more money because the cheaper brands made them sick. My 2 cats do still throw up their food about once every other day, but it happens less with this brand (Iams). Iams also seems to keep them full longer, partially because they are throwing up less. lol I think it is an expensive food for my shoestring budget, but sometimes you have to do what is best.

pmva95pmva95: I was in search of cat food that wouldn't attract ants or at least lower amount of ants, and the cat's Vet initially recommended this product, emphasizing its effectiveness in deterring ants due to its low sugar content or the absence of ant-attracting ingredients.

Thanks to this positive change, my cats are thriving and in excellent health. What's truly remarkable is the positive impact on their digestive health - without going into too much detail, their bowel movements have notably improved, becoming smoother and more consistent. The added bonus is that there's a reduction in the strength of odor when they do their business. I recommend this cat food; it's been a game-changer for my Cats.

Audra Matzen: My vet recommended Iams for my cat. My local stores no longer carry the 3.3 pound bags or they do at an outrageous price. The reason for the small bag, is that once the seal is broken and the nitrogen is replaced with oxygen in the bag, the nutrients begin to degrade. We had a lot of deficiency issues with my indoor cat, because I was buying large bags and she only eats 3.3 pounds a month. We switched to smaller bags and it solved the problem. I’m now ordering the proper size online and can now swap her back and forth between chicken and beef, which wasn’t previously available in store for us. She loves the food! And between the swap from Meow Mix to Iams and using smaller bags over the last year, she no longer suffers deficiencies and now has an almost kitten soft coat at 9 years old. I highly recommend Iams! It’s made a huge difference in my cat’s overall health.

Mina: Great cat food for my indoor cat. It keeps her weight stable and provides hair ball control. Kibble is not too large, easy for her to chew.
