David: We replaced an old Hunter fan with this one and it sits closer to the ceiling and has no pull chains, so there is no manual way to control the fan. If the remote doesn't work, you can't control the fan. It is a much cleaner look and no chains to break and the lights are easy to change. You just grab the globe and turn it counter clockwise and it unscrews from the fan in 1/4 turn or so and the lights are standard bulbs, no weird small base bulbs. Highly recommend and so far so good.

72montedude72montedude: Fairly easy to install. My electrical box was designed to accommodate a fan so that helped. Remote is a simple and intuitive design. Fan is quiet and moves air nicely. Only possible negative is that you have to remove the light cover to reverse fan direction. I typically only use fans in the summer so not an issue for me.

Patricia C. Adair:
Full disclosure
I'm just about 83 and recently out of radiation therapy (stereotactic) It took me 5 days to put this up. 3 years ago maybe 3 hours. House was built in 1929. Originally knob and tube. Rewired in the 70s. No ground. No junction box just a 1/2 " NPT nipple anchored to ceiling joist, part needed was in the box. I kinda did a part every day. Finished in 5. Instructions were succinct and simple. All parts were well made and fit perfectly. Everything lined up. Do make sure the receiver is snugly placed in the housing.
Some of the reviews about the fan direction were.. well it's not quantum physics. A quick turn of the globe and you're in. You only need do this twice a year. The remote is very intuitive and works perfectly. Use the supplied bulbs elsewhere they're 2500k. I need 5000k. The fan is dead quiet and required zero blade balancing.
Complaints. This fan is a sub-assembly and for some reason only the Chinese can manufacture sub assemblies. Why can't we make this in the US? It's parts mostly automated and packed. I would gladly have paid more for a North American product
All that said you won't be disappointed

I bought four of these for my recent renovation. They look really nice and clean and they fade into the background. The light is nice and diffused by the frosted globe and the fans puts out a nice amount of airflow with absolutely no noise. But read on.
Their Customer Service (CS) is awful!
After my electrician hung all four fans, one did not work. After holding for over 50 minutes for CS, I gave up and tried the chat option. I had to answer some preliminary questions for which I had to consult my electrician. Once answered, I did not get resolution. Instead, I was given multi-step instructions involving changing the wiring of the fan which was installed. At this point I explained that I wasn’t qualified to do this. CS persisted and when I asked for a supervisor, I was told to call the same number that I originally called. I finally just bought another fan and replaced it which called for another electrician visit and more money outlay.
I will continue my battle with them for a refund of this dysfunctional fan. It’s a shame because I’ve had Hunter fans in several houses over many years. It’s a shame that this formerly well-respected...

Karen Hudson: very quiet ceiling fan, only hear it run on high speed. Fan blades were a pain to install, hard time lining up screw holes. All in all, nice fan. Looks great, runs smooth.

My most recent Hunter fan purchase was to replace a 30 year old Hunter fan that ran continuously except when cleaning the blades.
Replacement Hunter fan does not disappoint. Hunter advertises whisper quiet operation & that is exactly what you get. Remote control makes it easy to operate.
I have numerous Hunter fans throughout the house & each works beautifully.

Anne: I am satisfied. I ordered two fans. Installation by our electrician easy and fast. He said it was nicest fan he’s ever installed. Second fan had incorrect housing so are awaiting the replacement so we can return the incorrect one. Not sure if an issue but globe must come off to reverse blade direction for air flow. Wd have given a five except for shipping issues.

Erin N.: This fan is beautiful. Since my house is 100 years old it took some doing to figure out a way to rig up a support system in my ceiling, but the fan itself was very easy to install. It is my first ceiling fan so i have nothing to compare it to, but I think it's quiet. Just a soft hum from the motor. The fan is so attractive compared to most other fans. I have very low ceilings and the low profile works great for me.

elaine lambert: Takes time to put up (2 hrs?). Must follow diagram, as it makes more sense than directions. But it looks so much better than the one we had before. It is above the bed and is very quiet.

Steve F.: I bought two of these fans for two bedrooms. I needed an electrician to install them as one room did not have any power available in the ceiling, so I really cannot comment on ease of installation. One fan worked perfectly. The second responded to the remote rather randomly. I called up user support and spoke with a very knowledgable and friendly woman who quickly agreed to send us a new receiver. After replacing the receiver, the fan responded slightly better, but still not perfectly. After another session with user support, they sent us a new remote transmitter. That fixed the problem. Now both fans respond correctly to the remotes.
The two bedrooms are not terribly large. These fans move more than enough air to keep them comfortable. The fans themselves are nice, modern looking designs that fit very well into the rooms. My only very slight complaint is that you can hear the motor hum a little bit even on the lowest speed. I have another much more expensive fan in another room that is absolutely silent on low. Otherwise, the fans do what they are supposed to do.
