Judy Deibel: We have 3 Gordon Setters, that like to go on long hikes.
They also like to pull their leashes tight, like they are taking you for a walk.
This type of collar is only worn while you are walking your dog. It doesn't hurt the dog, or leave any marks.
What it does do is discourage the dog from pulling. If they pull, they will receive a light pinch. We have used this type of collar for years, and never injured our dogs 🐕. They learn to walk at a pace that is comfortable for you, and for them.

Mickey S: These are it, the one most important thing in dog training. I always assumed they were choking and hurt the dog, well they do hurt a bit, like a mommy dog telling her pup how to behave. It doesn't take much for them to learn pack rules and know they need to respond to commands or get a little "snap." It is so necessary with kids as well, how can a small kid correct a dog that is nearly as big as them? We recently adopted a 7 mon old kelty mix, zero training, just a mess. 3 days in with this collar and she is learning fast, she is sitting, laying down (we use the foot command at the same time so they learn the visual & audible commands w/ the physical one & eventually all you need is the visual/audio), not jumping, barking less, less aggressive and more relaxed (some things take more time) and overall showing she will be a great cattle dog soon. Seriously if you have any behavioral issues to correct, you need this. I put it on my older dogs only when we're out with strangers/other dogs for "in case" and to make other people feel more secure around them. But it is rarely used for them now. Plus after awhile it does rub & irritate the skin so it's not comfortable to leave...

Rural Shopper: This is a very sturdy and well made collar. The size is easily adjustable. We use it on our working line German Shepherd, who is a very nice dog, but can be a bit stubborn. It gets her attention when you need it. We are not rough with it, just enough to know we want her to listen to the handler. We also do not leave it on her unless she is on leash, or working at training. A good purchase if used correctly.

Amazon Customer: My dog is an Aussie shepherd/border collie male mix. Up until 2/3 days ago he would lunge/bark at kids, people, cars sometimes even. He would pull and sniff the ground like a crazed animal so taking him on walks was dreadful. He was also very anxious and would react because of this on his walks. He was stressed out during the walks and so was I. I was resigned to walking him late at night to avoid his multiple triggers. In the house he would react to many noises outside of the home as well like car doors closing, horns, sirens etc.

After using this collar for 2/3 days I can say his anxiety has been reduced by 75%. In the house on the 3rd dat we actually thought he was sick as he was not having his usual anxiety attacks to sounds outside and doors opening and closing etc.

This thing is a miracle. We considered sending him to board and train for $2500 and even medication.

On walks he still takes interest in dogs but does not lunge or bark anymore after the 3rd day! While we are not at the point of allowing him to pass right by strangers or dogs on the side walks, he is showing massive progress already and no doubt see it happening soon!

BZBBZB: My dog's upper neck circumference is about 13-14", she's a German Shepherd mix with maybe Australian cattle and she's about 50+ lbs at 9+ months old now. This collar has 10 links total, I had to remove 4 links, if I remove one more link to properly fit it right behind the ears and below/behind the jaw, it seems just a tiny bit too tight, so I kept it a 4 links removed, it tends to slide down the neck a little more than I prefer, but the flat collar is helping keeping the prong collar up high enough and not too low, even then, it works wonder, am sure it would work much better if I could keep it higher up, but even as is, it's making a huge difference, compared to me using a chain collar before, which did not help to keep from pulling completely, sniffing, etc.

With this tool, you only need to give it a very light tug to signal the dog with very low discomfort, I did tried both chain and prong collar on myself, the chain definitely causes pain right at the pinch location, while this prong is spread out evenly around the neck with no pain, only with a tiny slight discomfort to signal the dog, as long as it is used properly, with NO hard pulling required.

Client Kindle: This is a very nice training tool. We tried multiple type of harnesses​ and collars while following instructions and advices on my dog and they either didn't work at all or worked at first but got less effective. Before putting this prong collar on my dog I did my homework and made sure i knewn how to use and fit it properly. I had to remove 2 link to get a snug fit. The collar sits just below his ears and jaw line and doesn't not slide down his neck. When I took him for a walk for the first time with this collar my dog tried to pull on the leash, he did a little yap because it got him by surprise. But after that he did not try to pull on the leash once. I only had to do some minor corrections.

Heres some advise:

-DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PUTTING IT ON YOUR DOG
-know what size you need
-fit it properly on your dog's neck by remove or adding links
-Do not let your dog walk ahead of you with lots of loose on the leash. Keep him by your side. (If he decides to run in a direction or get scared he will get hurt)
-Do not pull back on the leash. Give a quick little up right jerk to correct your dog.
-Remove the collar if you let you dog run around or if your...

AEK: Wow, what a difference! We didn't want to try this collar other than a last resort, but why I'm not even sure. We've been through many things already though. We have a Samoyed, and they are known for pulling but, we can't have that on walks. He was pulling so hard he was choking himself.

A little history. We had him in puppy training, flat collar at first. We tried stopping every time he pulled.

"Oh we stopped, cool I'll just pull pull pull until we go again." Or "Oh we stopped, cool I'll sit, wait we're going again!? PULL PULL PULL!!"

We tried turning around each time he pulled.

"Pull pull pull THIS way, we're turning around! GREAT, PULL PULL PULL THE OTHER WAY!". Or pull sideways constantly trying to sniff things or get at other dogs. It was awful. We tried treats for "heel" and redirecting, wearing him out at the park before a walk; nothing was working.

We also tried a 'soft limited slip' also known as a martingale as recommended by the breeder. Didn't matter, he pulled like a mad-man. We tried the Halti. He learned to pull with that too, plus I didn't like how it looked. Samoyeds are very fluffy and it just didn't work out. We also tried the...
