The HP OfficeJet 5255 Wireless All-in-One Printer is an ideal choice for easy-to-use, quality printing. With its 35-page auto-document feeder and automatic two-sided printing, it offers convenience and flexibility. HP Instant Ink and works with Alexa (M2U75A) also make it a great choice. Plus, the HP Smart app allows you to print and scan remotely and the dual-band Wi-Fi provides a stable and reliable wireless connection. Installation is also a breeze. With all these features and more, it's easy to see why the HP OfficeJet 5255 is one of the best Computer Printers on the market.B.E.Dace: For the money you can't go wrong on this printer. It's a great printer for home or student. I use this printer in my electrical business and it works great. From photo's to black and white documents this printer makes crisp clear prints with no smudges. Your also able to set up any print job using the control panel on the front of the printer. It has a document feeder on top which means you just lay your original in the feeder and it pulls it through without having to open the lid. It will also print both sides this way without having to run it through the feeder twice. You can use it on you private network, an open WiFi network if your OK with that, use the wireless direct feature or the USB port (CABLE NOT INCLUDED) if you need or want to connect right to you PC. I've tried using all of these methods with no problems. I used several Print From Phone apps and all had no problems getting the job done and each app allowed you to adjust advanced settings. The apps have all been for Android phones so I can't comment on iPhones since I don't use those. The printer does come with black and color ink but very limited on how many pages you can print with them. I...

Barry: Works great so far. Seems like the perfect home office scanner/printer. Haven't decided what to do about the ink yet. But I don't print as much. The document feeder for scanning is great, and the app works great for the scan to go directly to my email. Haven't seen that it's possible to scan 2 sided, which is the only drawback so far. Does print 2 sided though.

Keelan Martin: Great prints, love the HP Instant Ink program. This printer is noisier than other HP printers I’ve owned and the touchscreen is rather archaic but does the job. I wish there was an out-feed paper collection that deployed automatically. It prints and scans well which is most important, and certainly worth the money. Would buy it again.

Bigdog1004:
I bought this item as a gift for my parents.
I will say the setup itself is pretty straight forward. But, not so depending on what a persons understanding of computers is.
There are limited instructions with the printer. They suggest to go to a website which walks you through. Generally, this is not needed at all. But, I found that you needed to go to it for some reason to complete the setup for some reason.
Usually you can set it up via windows or IOS on its own. Especially on newer versions. But, I did have to use their website to get it fully functional.
Printer itself is very good! Print quality for us was very good so far.
I will say that construction components of this unit seem incredibly cheaper than other HP printers I have owned in the past.
A flimsy paper feed tray and an even more flimsy paper finished print tray that collapses within the unit when not in use.
I get it. The folks is to cheapen components to get the most $$ for manufacturing costs.
But, in theory you’d like to feel better about components such as this as they are the ones that are stressed more than others in daily use.
I’d recommend this item. ...

Emma: I was super skeptical at first because of some reviews I read prior to purchase. However, this is day one and I can say that set-up was super easy! The printer comes with an instruction manual and unless you are unable to read, its pretty black and white. Also, the printer comes with 2 ink cartridges but they are samples so they won't last long. (That's common sense) It seems like everyone who wrote a horrible review did so because they failed to read the fine print. Which clearly states when you set up an account with hp, that you have to pay for virtual ink. I'm old school I just ordered a 2 pack of black and colored ink with my printer, problem solved. HP does give you the option to skip the membership, I think a lot of folks just got worked up with getting their printers set-up they failed to click the (skip) option. Anyhow the printer seems great so far. No paper jams, the scanner is amazing, prints pictures very nicely, etc. I will be adding pictures soon but I'm eating my taco bell right now so yeah.

Phil:
This is replacing my HP 4650. Its scanner ceased to function but fore the price of this and how long I owned it I am simply replacing it. Installation was a bit annoying but nothing I can't live with. Most annoying is the screen pad used to enter information.
The box was very beaten up but the printer appears to be new so I will not complain. The paper support bar is now manual, probably a better idea than the older model's automatic one.
A strange quirk is that this machine would not recognize the new ink cartridges but it did recognize and allow the old ones from the 4650. I don't know what was up with that but again it is not hurting me so I will see how everything else goes from here on in. Overall it seems to be a good value for the money. I don't like the built in obsolescence (in my opinion). Some quirky aspects but nothing that I cannot live with.
