Canon PIXMA G6020 Wireless Megatank All-In-One Supertank Printer

Shelby: I was over due for a new printer that was hanging on by a thread (approx 10years old) and so when it finally gave out I did a lot of research and found a great deal on this printer! It came fast and was so easy to set up!! I love the air print capabilities! It can be set up and connected to multiple devices at the same time! The ink was so easy and mess free to fill the ports! And, of course, best part is the print quality is fantastic and I love the two-sided feature! I no longer have to feel guilty about wanting to print in color due to the fact that the ink lasts a lot longer and is much more budget friendly!! Never going back to cartridges!!

Amazon Customer: I bought this printer with the intent of printing on sticker paper, printable vinyl, as well as cardstock and plain paper for normal documents. It has performed beautifully with the ink and printing, no issues on the side of the delivery.. However, I have faced issues with connection. While I have been able to get it to connect with my phone through the canon print app, and with my computer via the wifi direct function, the actual canon app for desktop has given me nothing but trouble. I can make the printer work just fine without it, but it was frustrating during the initial setup to try and get it to connect when the canon print app either kept erroring out, saying it couldnt sense the printer anymore, it lost connection, etc... Thank god for the wifi direct feature. Beyond those struggles however, she has been a dream. I've seen others mention the struggle to read the backlit screen, however I have hardly struggled with it and when I have a simple flashlight or book light has done the trick to make it crystal clear for me. All in all, even with her quirks, I really like this printer!! She prints beautifully with the proper settings, and she is rather speedy about it too- And...

DontStealMyPen: I have purchased this printer twice, the first time in 2020 and again, in 2023, both for home office use. I replaced a cartridge ink Epson the first time and an HP cartridge printer the second time. The big plus for this printer is the long-lasting megatank ink supply. In three years of daily use, I've never had to replace the ink. I use mainly black ink in draft mode for document printing, but the colored inks have held up just as well. Even in draft mode, the quality is exceptionally good. I just set up the second printer (3 years later), and it was relatively easy. The only hang-up for me was that I use Chrome as my default browser, and the Canon set-up won't work unless you're running Safari. It will tell you to switch browsers during the set-up sequence. Once I switched to Safari, it was smooth sailing.

The biggest drawback of this printer is the control panel. It's better than it was 3 yrs ago when I bought it originally, but it's still hard to read. Also, the menu can be frustrating to navigate, and I've troubleshot it many times trying to decipher a printing size/feeder tray issue. Usually, turning it off & back on does the trick.
