AwesomeReads: Luckily I'm working on a Master's Degree, or otherwise, I wouldn't know where to begin with this calculator. It is not for the novice. All the similar calculators are about the same. After spending time learning how to use it, it has been extremely useful. Good value for the money.

Discoveror: I'm enjoying the heck out of this. Going through the manual examples is a fun refresher (for those of us who've been out of school awhile). While I still have my well-worn 1983 HP 12c (yes; it still works), this 10Bii+ is amazingly faster on NPV and IRR calculations (i.e. instant).
I think it's well made and `have no problems with the keys or screen. And, did I mention that the speed is Super?
For the money, this is a stunner (to me).

Grampa Jim: I bought this HP 10bII+ as a gift in lieu of the HP-17BII, which I prefer, but could not find and which I believe has been discontinued some years ago. Furthermore, the only calculations needed for this new calculator are time-value-of-money calculations. Thus, it was attractive at the relatively low price and less functionality than the old 17BII. The reviews for this 10bII+ were more that 80% favorable. When I received it, I put this calculator through its paces and found few relatively minor flaws: First, there are two modes used in TVM calculations - Begin or End mode. When setting the mode, the display shows when the calculator is in Begin mode with a "BEG" showing on the display. But when it's in End mode, there is nothing showing on the display. That lack of mode ID led me to suspect I might have a malfunctioning unit, but a call to tech support confirmed that End mode with no readout was indeed the proper function, and that End mode is the default mode for the calculator. Then, as mentioned in some of the unfavorable reviews, a keystroke entry did not always "take" when the key was pressed, and another pressing would be required, perhaps a firmer pressing of the key(s). Eliana Gonzalez: I am a finance student so when I tell you this calculator saved me, it did! It’s so quick to use and the buttons are super easy to read and the best part is it cute case that it comes in that’s makes it easy to bring everywhere with you and give you that comfort that it’s going to protect your calculated. Size wise it’s about the size of an iPhone 13 Pro Max so it is comfortable to hold. But I do suggest this calculator if you’re taking any business classes or even to do simple math! 10/10
