B. A. Anderson: This is a story about Horton the elephant, who heard a Who in a different Dr. Seuss book. This story is equally captivating and entertaining. It's well illustrated. My 10-year-old daughter enjoyed it very much. It's a great diversion from tablets and TV.

Carolyn S.: I love this book - fun for kids & teaches the adults not to make ANY promises they can not or will not keep! (That only teaches the child not to trust the adult.
BUT the large size of the newer editions - including the one purchased on Amazon - makes it unwieldy fot pre-schoolers &/or the adults reading to/with them! The original size was perfect. I was very disappointed in the one I recently ordered & received from Amazon

RL 45: Bought to read one of my childhood favorites to great granddaughter. It talks about the importance of commitment and keeping your word no matter what. No selective ethics here! Highly recommended.

review2u: An absolutely splendid, irresistible book supposedly for children, but great at any age for affirmation that kindness and faithfulness are more important than appearance or "image." Horton the elephant is mocked by others for tending the egg in a bird's nest when the mama-to-be flies off to party. He remains steadfast: "'I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful one-hundred percent!'"

Sonea: Great book. Horton and that lazy Maisy bird. My 4 year old grandson is becoming quite a Dr. Suess fan. I have purchased quite a few Suess books to add to his library. You can't go wrong with a Dr. Suess book.

sneha: My 7 years old kid is a new BIG fan of Dr. Suess along with me🙂. Earlier he used to love only Julia Donaldson books and after a while I was wondering who will be the next one...
Now I know it's one and the only Dr. Suess!

The book is big, almost 60 pages long so good for 1st graders and onwards. Kindergarteners might not have that much patience. The book has excellent story, crazy ending and lovely rhyme.

However I must admit Dr.Suesss books are not that colorful and attractive the way Julia Donaldson's books are. I think that's why they are cost effective too. We use yellow back books like this one as bedtime books (I read out to my kid) since the yellow back books have small font. But blue/ green back books have nice, big font so those are good for reading practice.

Overall Very happy with the purchase. The book was sold at discounted price and got delivered within 2 days. I have recently bought many more books by our current favourite author Dr.Suess😍
