SDH: OK, so it's not the cheapest option out there. However this blanket exceeded all my expectations. The quality is great and it is just large enough to wrap around two (smaller) people. It's lightweight, warm, and packable. The burn't orange color is great. While it's probably not good for rain or wind, a simple tarp would suffice in a pinch. Glad I ordered one of these to add to my gear.

Ivy BIvy B: I'm a beginner backpacker and trying to do it on a budget. This Horizon Hound GR-20 down quilt is a perfect fit for me.
PROS:
1) 350 grams of 80/20 Mix (down/feathers) 650 fill power down rated to 32°F
2) Light weight at only 1lb. 6oz.
3) Sub $100 price range (at time of review)
4) Packs down easily and takes VERY little room in a backpack, especially when NOT using the stuff sack
5) 6"x6" square baffles keep the down filling from moving around, which keeps it from creating cold spots in the quilt
6) Super cozy and warm (in my opinion)

CONS:
1) I wish it was a bit bigger. As I'm 5'8", if it were 84"x56" (instead of 77"x50") it would easily cover my head while also being wrapped around my feet, AND wrap around me with a little more room to spare since I'm a side sleeper.
2) The snaps ONLY allow you to use it as a "poncho". If the snaps were installed in such a way as to allow you to snap the sides together to create a footbox, this thing would easily rival some of the more expensive "backpacking" quilts. I'll probably add my own.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I love this quilt. In my opinion, it already rivals some actual backpacking...

Amazon Customer: This blanket works very well for me as a summer duvet on my sailboat. I can stow it away small, it provides just the right warmth when it is a bit cold and damp. I have the midnight blue and it looks great too. I have put aside my old, much heavier and bulkier sleeping bag with noisy zippers and this is now my preferred duvet for summer sailing and camping. The few times it goes below 15C, I simply put an heavier pyjamas on and. It is fine. I recommend this product. Time will tell but my I sense that it will last for a long time.

jennm03jennm03: I have a tendency to research things to death. Then I have analysis paralysis. This blanket came out in too for the under $100 category. If your going full boujee and spending $300-$300 there are some amazing outdoor gear options. I’m not a backpacker but have dreams of doing a hike I’ve had my eye on. This blanket would go with. I started looking after freezing on our last tent camping trip. We camp a lot and I’ve never been that cold. So I was going to splurge on a really awesome probably down quilt/sleeping being multi use type thing. They are out there and they look amazing. It’s a lot of money and I wanted more uses than just camping and we live in AZ so blanket season is small. I settled on a down camping blanket. I can stuff it in my sleeping bag with me on a cold night or use it as a quilt on warm nights. It’s smaller than a regular quilt but still a good size. It’s fits across our queen bed when I was letting it fluff up. It is very, very warm. It has snaps to make it a poncho on a cold morning. Might be a cape if I drink enough!? Could make a toe box easy enough. My daughter already tried to steal it after it fluffed up to its full glory! I...

jin m.jin m.: I have tried out the Get Out Gear, 3M iClimb, and Rumpl blankets as well and I believe the Horizon Hound (HH) to be the best bang for the buck. We own two of them. I would also like to try the Wise Owl, 4Monster, and KingCamp brands. If I ever do I will update this review.

The Get Out Gear is $2-3 more than this blanket right now and didn't feel quite as nice. I had an orange one and lifted it up to bright filtered sunlight in my living room. The material is quite thin—the sunlight easily penetrated the material and I could easily see the silhouette of the filling within. The filling was dispersed unevenly throughout the blanket. There were a few squares within the quilting that had very little to hardly any filling at all. More than a handful had much more than others. I have lifted both of my HH blankets to direct sunlight outdoors. You cannot see through the material at all. Some light peaks through in tiny holes within the stitching but none through the blanket material. The HH feels and looks like better quality material than the Get Out Gear blanket. Since I could not see the silhouette of the filling in the HH blankets I cannot speak to the...
