Caroline Bivona: I am not as young as I used to be so this may not be a good shovel for women with shoulder replacement surgery but I like it. You use your foot to get the spade in the ground. Thinking about a hoe.

Amazon Customer: I bought the Hooyman pickaxe first. Not knowing the brand, I thought they'd be good backup tools. Once it arrived, I immediately bought the shovel for regular use. If you’re like me and respect old quality tools but your 50 year old spade just broke, you’re going to like these products. Unlike box-store stuff that limp you through a season, these folks make tools solid like your Granddad’s but with the new materials. They’re well-weighed (heavy for an occasional user, perfect for hardcore work). I’m confident to beat on these tools and still get years and years out of them. Super good stuff at a reasonable price. My review is completely unprompted, unpaid. I just appreciate someone making something of quality for a change, and this is my new go-to brand. Can’t wait to see what the designers come up with next. Thanks for making my summer hardscaping and landscaping so much less frustrating, Hooyfolks.

Chuck GrayChuck Gray: I was initially extremely impressed with this shovel. Used it around our property for a couple months and it worked well. Then I was digging a small hole to plant a new shrub and the handle snapped off just above the spade. The actual metal broke as you can see in the pictures.
I would really like a replacement shovel or a full refund.
Didn’t even use the shovel that much as you can see in the pictures that the label hasn’t even worn off the spade yet.
Sadly disappointed. Especially for the price I paid
