Sean M.: I'm halfway into this book and it's absolutely riveting. If you are a history buff or Militaria collector this is a must read! It's so important to keep the stories and memories of these brave men alive as more and more die every day.

JM: This book honors and shows the importance, history, and glory of being a veteran. Anyone who reads this book will better understand the Second World War and the men who died along with the men who lived to tell their harrowing stories of sacrifice and patriotism.

Jaycee Hellenbrand: First of all, thank you sir Biggio for bringing out these amazing stories into one book.
If you think this book is the same as any other World War Two book, then you’re mistaken.
This book tells you stories from multiple American World War Two veterans.
Everyone should read this, history buffs and also people who are not that interested in World War Two. After reading this book you’ll have a better understanding of what these young men went through to selflessly protect millions of European citizens. Also your respect towards these heroes and any veteran will grow more and more.
Thank you for writing this book so the stories won’t be forgotten

P. Athanasiou: The author of this book, a retired US Marine veteran of two recent military campaigns, had a highly original, and wonderfully executed idea: to interview surviving WWII US Armed Forces veterans, so as to preserve their personal stories for posterity. At the end of each interview, the interviewee would sign his name and campaign on an M1 Garand rifle, the standard service rifle of the US Armed Forces during most of WWII. The veterans' stories are mostly related in the third person, interspersed with the odd verbatim quote, and although the author is not a trained author, he has done a very decent job out of conveying those stories in an engaging manner, resulting in a highly readable work. What strikes the reader is the highly personal takes of the interviewees on their war experiences: no two stories are alike, with each of the veterans having lived the campaigns they participated in in their own, personal way, and processed their implications differently. Overall, this is a great piece of work, which both preserves the memory of the great men of the WWII generation and serves as a rich repository of lessons for future generations, on the experience of war, its effects on the...

Pablo F.: Anyone who has a strong interest in military history should read this book.
Content: The author describes the story of a few of the last surviving WW2 veterans. You will find stories from Veterans who fought both in the Pacific and European theatre. The stories are described in detail which allow the reader to have a clear idea of what combat was like back then. The author also picked veterans from different units (infantry, armored units, airborne etc.) which makes the book more interesting. It also explains how the author came up with the project of interviewing America’s last WW2 veterans.
Form: The book is well-written and easy to understand. Anyone with decent English skills will be able to grasp the stories.
The book should be mandatory in schools as it shows the horrors of war and reminds the future generations that no such thing should ever happen again. I thank the author for his service to humanity and strongly recommend this book.

GJ: The stories told by these men are here to live on long after they are no longer with us. We are losing our WW2 vets so fast and it’s important to document what they endured for freedom. Great book. Looking forward to the next one.
