Julia R.: I loved this book, couldn’t put it down. What a lovely man and the way he told his story was so easy to read. Like others I read this in one day.
Rest in peace Eddie and thank you for sharing your story. I felt humble and grateful for the life I have. Highly recommend this book.

Edward V. Alisauskas: My parents (though not Jewish) lived through the War in Europe and experienced a bit of what Eddie faced as well. My grandfather was sent away by Stalin (Hitler’ equal) in the middle of the night in front of his family. Never to return
Although often difficult to read (particularly in the beginning) because of the brutal content, this is a must read
It really puts life (and what’s truly important) into perspective
A wonderful, I’m sure not an intentional, companion to Victor Frankel’ “Man’s Search for Meaning”
God Bless Eddie and his life’s work!

Daniel David: This is a first hand experience of what it is to live in a concentration camp, how hope keeps you alive even in the toughest situations apart from friendships.
It is sad that hate can consume rational people so easily and when no one stands up to hate a civilization begins to see decline. The protagonist survives since he was a jew who had special qualifications and worked on very specialised machines underlining the importance of education and also his economic importance to the german war effort.
Definitely a must read.

Jon Yeo: If you have any interest in how someone can triumph over great suffering, this is a great book. To understand the mindset of some of humanity's most accomplished is a real gift.
Additionally you get to meet a man who brought so much happiness to the world and learn his secrets.

Inmaro: When I started reading the book, I knew what I was about to read, as the deeds of the Hitler Regime and the holocaust itself was not unknown to me. Nevertheless Jaku's story came as a surprise and it's not easy to describe why.
It's the way he describes the horror he had to endure in as many words as necessary, but not by wasting too many of them. His words go straight to the heart. This book impresses me with this person, his memories and his knowledge of life.

Courtne-Layne: I sat down at the beach to read Eddie’s book, not knowing that I’d be bawling my eyes out at several different parts of it.
I’m so happy I finally sat down to read it. It’s a quick read and fills your heart up with so much compassion, if you’re open to it.
Highly recommended!!

Ritika Mehta: Lovely book of holocaust survivor. Sometimes the quotes are repetitive, but it's to ensure the meaning of the same is not lost to reader.
Inspire of suffering so much and loosing so much, it's a wonder how he came out stronger with a Will to Live. Must read for anyone and everyone.

Jessica: A shocking retelling of one man’s experiences during WII and how the power of choosing hope has made all the difference. Make yourself a new friend and read The Happiest Man on Earth. Through the darkness, you’ll find hope and inspiration for your own life.
We must never forget the holocaust. What man is capable of doing to others, so history doesn’t repeat itself. Better yet, learn from it so we can rise above it.
“Hate is the beginning of a disease, like cancer. It may kill your enemy, but it will destroy you in the process too. Don’t blame others for your misfortunes. No one has ever said that life is easy, but it is easier if you love it. If you hate your life, it becomes impossible to live. This is why I try to be kind.”
“Life is not always happiness. Sometimes, there are many hard days. But you must remember that you are lucky to be alive – we are all lucky in this way. Every breath is a gift. Life is beautiful if you let it be. Happiness is in your hands.”
