I purchased this waffle maker because my family does not like Belgian Waffles. This is the closest I’ve come to an old fashioned waffle maker. It works great but I leave them in just a little longer because we like our waffles darker (not burned).

I’ve been looking for a regular waffle maker. Most makers now are Belgian style. This maker does a good job, if you use thicker batter. Determining the correct amount to use has been my challenge. But with thicker batter on my 2nd attempt, went much better. It does makes great regular waffles.

This is the third waffle iron that I have owned. I could not be more pleased with it. It is perfect! I love the variable heat settings. The temperature controls are important, but many irons have just one. For those who might not know, many factors affect the amount of heat you need, such as the flour-to-liquid ratio, the amount of sugar, if any, that you add to the batter, whether or not the batter is cold from refrigeration or room temperature, and the amount of fat in the batter.
