Holy Stone HS710 Drone with 4K Camera – Perfect for Adults!

Omar El-Zuhry: I’ve been pretty satisfied with my Holy Stone HS710 drone. As a beginner, I found this drone to be far more manageable than smaller ones. It’s quite user-friendly, and I got the hang of it quickly. The flight stability is decent for a drone of its size, though I’ve yet to fully test the GPS accuracy, being new to flying drones.

The camera quality is satisfactory, not outstanding, but it gets the job done. A highlight is the battery life, lasting about 25 minutes, which is quite good. Plus, HolyStone sent an extra battery for free, which was a great bonus – thanks, HolyStone!

Setting it up was straightforward, but it’s important to start on a flat surface and read the manual before the initial setup. The build quality is as good as plastic can be, which isn’t bad at all.

I particularly like the return-to-home function; it’s a useful feature, especially for new pilots. The price seems fair for what it offers. However, be aware that you need to set it on a flat surface before turning it on, or you might face some trouble initiating.

Olivier Larocque: This is a very good product. Pretty impressed by the quality vs the price.

I've bought another drone just before another company and I was disapointed. So I've returned it to by this one.

I'm just a beginner with drones but between the other one and the one, this one is very way more good and fun to use.

The camera is better and 90 degrees movable. The interface on the transmitter and the app is more friendly and the battery life is longer.

The only disapointement is that in the ad, it is mentionned that it comes with 2 batteries and there's only one.

I'm in communication with customers service about the missing battery and they are very understandable and trying to fix this.

Over the missing battery issue, I recommend this drone absolutly for beginners like me.

William Clyde Timbs: Finally had a chance to really get out and use this for a while. Let me start by saying, the initial set-up for me was a breeze. Downloading the app, connecting to the drone and the remote pairing, all went very smooth. The only real wrinkle of any kind was when connecting to the drone through my phones WiFi settings, my phone kept asking if I wanted to continue since the connection had no internet access. But that was my phone and not the drone. Make sure you follow the steps laid out in the instructions (they also are show when you start the app) and everything syncs up fine. Be sure to do the compass calibration as well. This is very important.

On to the flying. I had tested it in a limited capacity to see that things all connected and worked. I had played around with the auto take off and auto land, as well as the return to home. All of that worked great. Then I finally got to go to a wide open area and fly it. Winds were a little gusty at around 8 to 10mph; but the drone did a good job of holding position with little drift. I took it up to about 60 feet or so and out over a river to get some footage. I had no issues at all. Controls were easy to use, the app performed...

DP: I bought the Holy Stone HS710 drone a few weeks ago and I have to say I'm impressed by its performance and features. It's very easy to learn how to use, even for a beginner like me. The controller is intuitive and responsive, and the app is user-friendly and compatible with my phone. The drone is advertised as having a 4K camera, but I feel like the quality is closer to 720p at best. Also I would have liked to see a slightly longer battery life, especially since the drone is not that heavy. The setup does take some time and patience. It takes me about five minutes to unfold the arms, calibrate it, sync it to the app and then find a suitable location to launch it from. I have found that in the time it takes to set the drone up on the ground, the wind begins to change directions or pick up, further halting my plans to get this little guy up in the air. Another thing I learned is that you should definitely watch some videos on proper drone flying before you take off. This drone is powerful and fast, but it can be affected by wind and other obstacles. In fact, I almost lost it on a flight recently when a gust of wind blew it towards a nearby tree. Dustin BatchelorDustin Batchelor: The media could not be loaded.  I have a YouTube channel and several outdoor hobbies, and I've thought about using a drone for a few years now. After doing a lot of research I decided to give the Holy Stone HS710 a chance as a good way to learn how to fly a drone, and to use some of the more advanced features such as follow me, circle mode, etc. I'd like to start about by saying that my first few flights out resulted in some significant blade damage (first one undetected which led to a much bigger crash next flight). Holy Stone sent me a replacement set of blades free of charge, and they responded to my request very fast, so that's excellent service.

In regards to flight, it works very well and is easy to get the hang of it, and is surprisingly quiet. Setup overall was a breeze, and the compact size of it means I can load it up in my hydration pack and bring it with me on my mountain bike trips. Battery life is as advertised, but I would suggest you don't trust the battery meter. Once it hits 2 out of 4 bars, that's your queue that the drone is going to quit flying real soon. When you hit low power mode the GPS return kicks in and it does returns to the general area...

Patrick Griffis: First off I am not a drone expert. This is my first real drone. I have a few RC cars so I know a bit about RC technology, but never had a drone.

That said this drone is really easy to setup and have fun learning. First thing, make sure to charge your battery up before your first flight. Second do not try setting it up in your living room. Trust me bad things can happen. Third, this is one tough little drone. I've had several hours of practice now and I've managed to hit trees, a parked car and a house. This drone just keeps flying. It's like a little tank that flies. Very impressed with its durability.

If your new to drones like me just remember this takes practice to control. Be patient. It will drift. The wind will push it around. You will crash it. Be patient. Luckily this drone is very forgiving for all these things.

The Good:
-Durability is amazing.
-Battery life is really good.
-The camera is wicked sharp.
-The controller and mobile app are very responsible and with practice become second nature.
-Price: I got mine during the Christmas sale. 200$ is a great deal. This drone is worth the money.

xXxSlaYeRQcxXx: hello ! 4 out of 5 stars for the drone. 5 if the SD card would work, details below! The HS710 is doing well in general. But big problem with the SD card, I use a class 10 SD card for 4k video and the application does not save in the SD card but on my cell phone! I can't go higher than 40 meters otherwise the drone loses all vertical stability and it does it with 16 GPS satellites activated. Otherwise for a beginner drone it is very good! Importantly there is no image stabilizer! The tracking and orbit functions work well, although with my drone, no matter how much I place myself in the center, the drone always shifts a little to one side on the Orbit function! Maybe 5 stars if the seller solves my SD card problem. / version Francaise : bonjour ! 4 étoiles sur 5 pour le drone. 5 si la carte SD fonctionnerait, détails plus bas ! Le HS710 vont bien en général. Mais de gros problèmes avec la carte SD, j'ai utilisé une carte SD de classe 10 sois pour vidéo 4k et l'application ne sauvegarde pas dans la carte sd mais sur mon cellulaire!
