Amazon Customer: I could not register this drone with FAA due to not having a serial number registered with FAA. I tried to contact the manufacture and the North America phone number was always busy and no response to the email for 5 days. Due to the lack of customer service from this manufacture I decided on buying a DJI drone.
Save yourself the money and do not buy unless you are only flying in FRIA areas designated by FAA.

ChrisChris: Update, after a week of back and forth with their tech support, I received no help at all so I am returning the drone. I am pretty bummed because I really wanted this to work.

I purchased this drone for the sole reason that it is water resistant and I wanted something I could fly in the rain and snow. It was a day late, not that big of a deal, and when I got it all together and tried to connect it to my phone, it would not connect saying there was a Firmware Update. I go to update and I get a "Network Error" so it will not download the update. I tried two different phones, two different Wi-Fi networks, and even just cellular data but it will not go through. I have reached out to the tech support email and after three emails and a phone call, I finally got a response. They said they would review my issue but that I can ignore the update and just fly the drone. Nope, I cannot just ignore the update because without it, I cannot connect to the drone. Super frustrated at this point and am thinking about just returning the drone. I wish there were more water/weather proof drones on the market in this price range but there aren't.

jiarui.yangjiarui.yang: I saw the PowerEgg X release during the CES this year. And it was pretty impressive with all the different features.
I was a little bit hesitant because of some of the reviews but I bought the drone anyways. Overall it was awesome, tried out a few times, and worked as expected.

The first time I tried the DV mode and had to do the FW update. It somehow didn't complete the first time although it said it was completed in the app. I re-started the drone and the app, then the second time it updated successfully. The video quality was not so great on the phone screen, but after I exported this to the computer it seems fine.

The face following mode was pretty impressive. My girlfriend and I have tried a few times and it can follow the face correctly. One drawback is if it loses the face, it will need some more time to re-capture the face.

One thing I am interested to try is the anti-vibration of the camera. I usually shoot some v-log videos with my phone but it does not have great quality while walking. I hope PowerEgg X would be a better tool for the video quality.

tsymborskitsymborski: Main issue with this product is the camera, for the most part using 4k @ 60 f/s and 4k @ 30 f/s.At first it would only record anywhere from 30 seconds to 90 seconds and turn off, but still showing on the controller that it WAS recording. Any setting using it in the 1080 mode worked fine for the duration of the flight. After the latest firmware update, now recording time in 4k @ 30 f/s and 4k @ 60 f/s dropped to 6 to 9 seconds of recording time before turning itself off. The latest firmware update included numerous selections in 4k f/s ( 24 f/s, 25 f/s and 50 f/s). So far I got the 4k @ 25 f/s working fine and recorded for a 20 minute flight.
For a few positives, charger works great, no issues with either battery ( getting almost 25 minutes of flight time with outside temps below 30 degrees F. Auto take-off works fine, goes up 4 to 5 feet and has hovered in position for an entire charge of a battery. Manual start-up and take-off works fine and haven't had any issues yet with the Return to Home (RTH) function after 30 flights so far. So far it is handling a good amount of wind, 20 to 25 mph.
