Holy Stone HS510 GPS-Equipped Drone for Adults

GGGG: The HS510 GPS Drone is a great flyer and easy to learn. The setup and calibration is straight forward. The drone holds position even in light winds - this makes it easy to learn and instills confidence in new pilots. The auto takeoff and return to home buttons helps new fliers learn and if trouble happens, a single press of the Return to Home button brings the drone back to the recorded home position. (Note this drone does not have obstacle avoidance, so keep that in mind!).

The controller is logically laid out and the display is clear. The FPV app provides easy setup and allows for beginners to limit the range of the HS 510 to help keep it close by when learning. The app also keeps track of your flights so you can see your flight history over time.
Don't forget the 4K camera -- the drone captures great video and pictures. The HS510 includes these features: Headless mode, Follow Me mode, Orbit mode and TapFly mode (allows you to create a predesigned flight path).

Great little drone for the money. Good for teen/adult beginners.

michelle zwahlenmichelle zwahlen: This is my second drone, my first being a Mavic Mini 2 and think that it is much easier to use, set up and fly. I wanted a second one to travel with and this Holy Stone seemed check all the boxes that the Mavic Mini did with a couple of added features that I was excited about like the follow me and way point flying. On top of those two advantages, it was a fraction of the price and I could get two of these for the price of the Mini so I was way more comfortable to take it on the plane with me. First flight was a real learning curve because of the large differences between what I have gotten used to and this Holy Stone. It was not quite as easy to fly straight out of the box as the Mini, but with some time it proves to be a very responsive and amazing drone (definitely recommend starting in a much more open area than my yard and a much calmer day, I have way too many trees and winds were gusty up to 20 mph keeping me from flying too hi. First time I went above the trees, the drone started to drift away and took a bit to fly back, live and learn). It also proved its durability when it bounced off the side of my house while I was playing with the headless setting. Slight scratch, but...

WasicunWasicun: The media could not be loaded.  The Holy Stone HS510 appealed to me because I was looking for something more portable than my Holy Stone 700D, which I’m very happy with. I travel frequently, and do lots of hiking, canoe camping and other outdoor activities. The HS700D can be disassembled to fit in a fairly compact space, but the appeal of a smaller folding drone for those outdoor activities led me to the HS510.
The first impression I had upon opening the box was the quality of the protective carrying case the drone, controller and accessories comes in. That is a nice touch that exceeded my expectations. It will fit nicely in a daypack, under a car seat, or in a suitcase without displacing other essentials. You can check the specs for the size of the drone itself, but after flying the 700D for awhile, which I would consider mid-sized, the HS510 looks tiny! But it has some weight to it, even without a battery installed- it is a solid machine. The controller is much smaller than the 700D’s, and with its handles folded out is more comfortable in hand. It too feels solid. Its phone holder looks functional, but I use a dedicated tablet for my drones so I haven’t used that...
