JW: I am new to drones, so this one was really good for me. The price was fair for what it is. If you are looking for a camera drone, or a drone that’s going to last you a long time, this isn’t it. What this is is a fun little drone to learn how to fly on. I actually just got an HS510, and this has given me inexpensive practice.
I couldn’t really get the hand gestures to work, but the remote control is easy, and I have found myself sitting in my living room flying most of the day. Having said that, you might get five minutes out of a battery. It comes with three. I have been flying until they are dead and then charging again. My only real complaint is the charger. The manual says the light is supposed to turn on when charged after 40 minutes, but mine did not. My light came on immediately and stayed on. I just left them on for an hour or two and then pulled them off. Now the light is off. Seems hit or miss. They let you charge two while you fly one in the drone at least.
I have also found that it will go a lot wonky if you don’t calibrate it on a level surface. I have seen other reviews talking about how difficult it is to fly and then it wants to go everywhere....

Dan M.: The media could not be loaded. This is the second mini drone I’ve bought so far and it has been the better of the two. I’ve only had it for a couple weeks but my family and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Of the many positives I liked was the bright white headlight, as it helped me tell where the front was at all times, something I struggled with on the other drone. The headlight is also adjustable from straight forward to 5 positions gradually downward. There is a smaller blue light in the rear.
The batteries are modular, so they easily slide in on the bottom (no plugging – unplugging wires) along with an on/off button on the bottom. This is a great improvement from the other one I have which required a small plug, wired to the battery, to be inserted into the receptacle on the bottom of the drone. Plugging in the battery turned it on and to turn it off needed to be unplugged. The on/off button on this drone solves this annoyance. Charging was easy and fairly fast. It came with a USB cable that charges 2 batteries at a time. The charging cable has a red light that will turn on when the battery is fully charged.

Michael StantonMichael Stanton: The media could not be loaded. This little drone is simply a blast. Up and flying in less than a minute and super easy to learn. With multiple speeds its slow enough to fly around inside your house but fast enough to really whip around. Even my 5 year old was able to get it under control after only a few attempts.
The throw to fly is an awesome feature and works really well. Occasionally you might throw it too aggressively and it gets out of control, but that’s ok because..
It is very durable and you can crash it as much as you want. All four rotors are encased in protective shields so there’s no worry about breaking or hurting anyone.
Headless mode seems to drain the battery faster? But tha tmight be my imagination. The batteries last a good while and there are three of them so they are always ready to fly.
Overall this thing is just a super fun for anyone from 5 years old to 105 years old.
The cats hate it though.
