David G HopeDavid G Hope: My HS720G first impression was how solidly built it is. The materials are sturdy & construction well done.
Setup appeared complex but on following the very clear instruction card (on the controller), it was logical and easy to complete in a couple of minutes.
On first flight (mine & the HS720G) it was very responsive to the slightest touch. Set to BEGINNER mode, I used the Auto lift off which has the drone hovering at about head height, waiting for my input. The 720G answered my inputs very well & with no lag that I could detect.
After a short practice of the controls I took it out to about 100 metres, then tried it the return to home button, & the drone rose to it's RTH height & came back to its take off point landing within 50cm of the exact spot.
So far I'm positively impressed by the HS720G but will have to wait for improved weather to continue this new adventure.
Obstacle avoidance would be a nice feature to add but at additional cost of course.
Overall..... A very good machine with higher end features at a reasonable price.

John Dobson: I would like to say we live in a perfect world but unfortunately, we do not. When dealing with a company how they react when there is a problem is important.

I purchased a Holy Stone HS720E drone and had a problem with it malfunctioning. The drone unexpectantly took off and smashed against the side of a house. Holy Stone happily replaced the drone and followed up to see that the replacement arrived, and that all was well.

I now have a problem with a rounded screw head and again the company have been extremely helpful.

Let me say I love the drone and it works well but this reference is really about the company. In a world where so many companies don’t want to know you when there is a problem, Holy Stone’s support is a joy to experience.

I am so impressed with the speed with which it was setup and ready to go. The quality of the build seems very sturdy with positive locking positions for everything that don't allow movement once in place.
Honestly this unit is as good quality of other much more expensive units so I am very happy with my purchase. I use it to check the grounds and perimeters of a property where I work from above where the landscape doesn't allow easy access. Highly recommended.

Stanley Eng Chun WeeStanley Eng Chun Wee: This drone was purchased after days of scrolling through listings and numerous other videos watched to see if it was right for me.

I am a recreational drone user and will only use it when I have that 1-2 hour free time on the weekend to fly. Not commercial or professional use.

I liked the zippiness of the drone, it flies well and is very responsive to my controls. The setting up of the drone including calibration of the gyroscope and gps is also straight forward. The manual is also quite clear on what to do so I advise anyone to study the manual and resist the urge of flying the drone prior.

There are a couple of cool features such as follow me, point of interest etc however cannot beat the ones offered by more expensive drone makers.

The controller transmission distance maxes out in distance quite easily so it’s important to make sure you fly in an open area!

I really liked the return to home function this one works really well when controller loses transmission.

Camera quality is ok and requires touch up. See photos before and after touch up. As I am not a professional this doesn’t really matter to me. Gimbal works great...

Serac: The media could not be loaded.  I’ve wanted a drone like this for some time. But, never having a real need for one, I simply never pulled the trigger. I am a proponent of “Buy once, cry once” in that it’s better to spend more money up front than to buy cheap items, learn your lesson, and then spend more money later. I was initially hesitant to buy this drone over a significantly more expensive DJI. After many reviews online regarding this drone, I decided to try the Holy Stone.

My initial transaction with Amazon was a disaster. The drone arrived, and (gasp!) it was well used. Abused, even. The box had a hole in it, no plastic over the box, the drone was dusty, lens scratched, and props trashed. I spent 5 minutes looking at it, and returned it to Amazon immediately. This must have been a glitch in the Amazon supply chain, because after this, I’ve been highly impressed.

The replacement drone arrived brand new, as expected. The carrying box is quality, the hand controller fairly nice, and the instruction manual excellent. I was expecting a manual in poorly translated English, and 20 other languages. I got a very clear manual in English and German. The...
