Rick: Compared to dowels already on the sofa they are a bit short, but fit snugly. They will work as is, that's all that matters.

J. Miller: Always having to pick through them to find ones that will fit properly in holes made with same bit in same work piece. Sometimes I have to resort to sanding one. Also, there seems to be more than one kind of of wood used. Some are maybe hardwood, some aren't.
