Joseph Garzi: I was excited to purchase this product to help protect my family from potential fumes from our propane furnace. It seemed to be working for a few months but then all of a sudden the alarm started to go off at 1,500. I tried to figure out was was going on. I placed it next to an open window and the alarm still went off. I tried to contact the company but was unsuccessful. Don't buy this product, it doesn't work. If I could give it less then one star I would. Shame on Amazon.

Bob S.Bob S.: Good Price and enough good reviews for me to go ahead and order this detector.
According to the vague instructions I installed it accordingly for propane gas as we have a gas range.
The first unit after warming up indicated an explosive gas level of 1150 which told me nothing as the instructions states "when the leaked natural gas level reaches 400ppm, the Digital display shows "400" and that alarm level will sound at 3500ppm.
So, ok. I had a friend who owns a gas "sniffer" come over and could not detect any explosive gas in the house.
So I messaged the company and was told they would either exchange the detector or refund my money BUT if the detector was reading out at 1150 there must be explosive gas in the area, could even be alcohol and other flammable substances close by.
As per the instructions, I used an unlit stick lighter to test the system. The alarm went off after a couple of seconds of emitting butane from the lighter and after alarm sensed safe levels it silenced.
Still reading 1150 so I unplugged it and plugged it back in and same reading. I returned for an exchange. Seller immediately sent a replacement detector while I returned the defective...

Debbie: I bought this device because I was worried I had a propane leak. I looked at several detectors and decided to try it. I hung the device where the directions stated, plugged the device in and after the initial 3 minutes that it took for the it to activate, sure enough it detected that there was a leak. I recommend this device to anyone that heats with propane or other liquid forms of fuel.

Ms B: We are so pleased with this gas detector it came sooner than expected. Was easy to install right out the box. After testing it out we found it to be very accurate and a real attention getter if it sounds off. Would strongly recommend.
