Aleksandr Strovanovich: I use it to clean glass mainly, but in these trying times of panic buying and mask wearing it can be used as a substitute to isopropanol FOR CERTAIN THINGS mainly sterilization of utensils... don't be an idiot and try to clean a wound with it, or use it in any extraction processes which the end product will be consumed in any way, topical application, eaten, smoked vaped etc etc.. It contains methanol which isn't all that great for the sustenance of human or animal life. Read the bottle before use as with most things..

HAL: Lab grade. We use this to clean our electronics. We spray it on our laptops, cameras, and phones then wipe with a clean, soft cloth. It's great because it evaporates quickly and doesn't streak. Do NOT use this for hand sanitizer!!!

People leaving negative reviews misunderstood the purpose of denatured ethanol vs drinkable ethanol like everclear.

For woodworking this is a really good solvent to dissolve shellac flashes, or to strip shellac finish off of wood.

ventingisok: It's available. That's all I can say about this. This ethyl alcohol was denatured by adding methanol and it's supposed to be more toxic, so not to use on our bodies, as the description says. I'm adding water (according to the formula) to make it 60% and disinfect the grocery packaging. Is this necessary? Don't know but feels cleaner. LOL

Speed Daemon: Appears to be ethanol, as good or better than Everclear or similar 190 proof spirits, but without the liquor tax and other drawbacks to purchasing and keeping alcohol-for-drinking for lab or workshop purposes. I keep concentrated acetone, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol in my garage to remove scuff marks from walls and furniture, to remove organic residue from my cars' paint and windows, and to clean gunpowder residue from firearms after use. Pretty much any glass or metal surface that needs a thorough cleaning, or organic stains that soap and water fail to clean can benefit from cleaning with alcohol.

Remember that this is NOT for drinking! It is highly flammable, so never use or store near open flame.
