DurhamSDurhamS: Our 2 year old started throwing her leg over her crib rail, so we had to switch it up to a toddler bed. I initially was going to order the rail from the crib manufacturer, at $75. When I found this rail I decided to give it a try instead and I’m glad I did. It was simple to install, is sturdy for her to hold onto when she’s crawling in and out of bed, and she likes that she can see through the fabric. I like that it’s easy to fold down to make the bed and that I don’t have to worry about her falling out of bed.

Denise M. RicardDenise M. Ricard: Easy to install and easy to lift and lower. We chose to install it closer to edge of crib rather than towards the center to allow more room at other end for toddler to enter and exit. We also raised the mattress to allow complete fold-down of guard. However, with this installation, we may not have to lower and raise the guard and can possibly lower the mattress one level down. Grandchildren haven't yet slept in it yet, but I anticipate they will love it!

JudeJude: I don't normally write reviews but do NOT buy this crib rail. First, you'll need to zip tie part of the rail underneath your mattress springs to ensure that the mattress even lies flat, because installing it as suggested results in the mattress having bumps in it from the metal rods under the mattress. I saw that in other reviews and thought, that's okay, despite it being a design flaw I don't mind the extra effort.
Except that, in less than 6 months the fabric on the rail started to fray and come apart, and it's only getting worse by the day. I called the manufacturer, who offers a warranty, but because I bought from this re-seller they won't honour the warranty. And this re-seller doesn't even respond to emails to resolve the issue.
Buyer beware.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: We were very cautious with purchasing due to the mixed reviews. However, I believe they have worked out all the kinks. The bars are slightly flattened so you don't notice them under the mattress. The assembly is very simple. They include straps for the front so when you unlatch it to flip it down it stays strapped down, doesn't lift at all. We actually don't even flip it down because there is room on both sides to get in and out. Been using it for a couple weeks with no issues. Highly recommend if you can't get the original crib railing conversion
