Judy: I had real problems with my dog pulling when he saw another dog ! A few people suggested that I try this collar on him . I always thought it would hurt the dog but my vet said they are made for training . Also a friend took her pup to obedience class and this is what they used. So I decided to try it and it is a miracle….. I have total control and he never makes an issue about putting it on so it can’t be hurting him. The only other thing I can say is THANK YOU….it makes walking him so much more enjoyable!!!!

Austin, TX: My dog has developed pretty bad leash reactivity to the point I signed up for $1,000 dollar private lesson. Before I committed to the contract and paid a deposit, I watched tons of YouTube and the professionals mentioned Prong Collar. I decided to give it a try before spending a thousand dollars on my dog, and guess what: my dog got the tick of the trade within 15 minutes in the prong collar. LOVE LOVE LOVE this tool! It has save me a thousand dollars on the private lessons. Oh by the way, get this Herm Spranger brand. I bought a cheap generic one and it hurt when I tried it on my wrist! This Herm Spranger brand does not hurt at all. My only wish is that it would have a clip to easily clip on and off. The bigger sizes do have the clip but not this small size!

Vintagemama: After my little Houdini managed to wrangle himself out of everything else I tried to keep him from pulling, I purchased this collar.
The prongs are not sharp, but when the dog pulls, they mimic a Mama dog's toothy reminder to settle down.
For Crosby, it only took once. He tested it a couple of times, getting the same result, and decided that lunging, twisting, and pulling were not going to work.
You still need to work on training your dog to not pull even without the collar - but these work as you work toward that perfect heel.
Highly recommended.

C. Squires: This collar is well-made. The construction is good; the prongs are rounded and smooth. This type of collar is meant to mimic the sensation of a mother dog reminding her pup to "behave."
When I had an arm injury, it reminded one of my more excitable, enthusiastic dogs not to pull on the leash -- ever -- because when she pulled, she corrected herself without my having to scold or bribe or otherwise do anything. She became very mindful of rushing ahead or putting any pressure on my arm. YES, training could have taught her to walk on a loose leash at all times (even when excited) but this did the trick -- training her gently as her mother would have done. Different dogs, like different people, may learn better through some methods than others. As scary as it may look to the nervous-souls out there, it is EXACTLY like a mother dog's gentle correction, and very acceptable information to the dog, and does help some dogs learn.
Be sure when you use this sort of collar, that you use just enough links to hold the collar snugly at the top of the neck, don't pull back on the leash unless you have a reason or message to convey, pay attention to what you and your dog are doing,...

Jayson AndrewsJayson Andrews: No matter what breed of dog you have youll be in luck to use a herm sprenger. The size guide says "use x y z depending on weight of your dog!" but my boy is 70lbs & we use the 2.25mm, it gives me all of the control & direction I could ever need.
second picture beside the 2.25mm is either a 3.0 or 3.2mm it did Not work for us & especially doesn't help my boy is in-between sizes. the 2.25mm & adding 2 extra prongs (bought separately) are amazing & all we ever use now!
