I tried giving my 75lb Anatolian shepherd mix, 2 1/2 chews bc one or 2 wouldn’t help with her anxiety for car rides and she did ok for the first 10 min then the last 5 she started getting nervous. Also for new years I tried giving her 2 and she was ok with singular popping fireworks but once the fireworks started popping off back to back she was shaking the whole night. It’s a hit or miss really. I have my 100 lb German shepherd and he acted the same like I didn’t give him 3 chews. So it really just depends on the dogs

Kat L.: My mixed breed dog has always been a little nervous, and as she has gotten older, this has gotten worse. A couple of years ago she started showing signs of cognitive dysfunction (going to the wrong doors, wandering around, etc.). As this advanced, she started waking up in the middle of the night numerous times, panting and unable to rest. I am a light sleeper, and her sleeplessness was affecting my sleep and my work performance. She did even worse in a room by herself - screaming and panting and panicking. She's about 24 pounds, and I started her out with about 1/8 of a chew twice daily. After the first couple of doses I noticed she was sleeping more soundly through the night. After about a month I increased her to 1/2 chew daily - divided into 1/4 twice daily. As time went on, it did seem like she needed a larger dose at night to sleep all the night through without waking up panting, so I divided up the 1/2 chew into a smaller dose in the afternoon and a larger dose at night. She has been doing BEAUTIFULLY on this dose! She sleeps soundly and SNORES all through the night! She is dealing with thunderstorms much much better - in fact, they don't even seem to bother her anymore! Her...

Hiddenhavenfarm: I was hoping o be able to use this product on both of my dogs since I have a senior dog with anxiety and beginnings of dementia along with a six month old puppy who is all energy all day. I gave them each one pill since that was the suggested amount for their weight. Chloe (the puppy) didn’t seem to show any difference in her energy level even after taking it every day for a week. Ella the 11 year old senior dog, was another story. I took her off it after day two. It knocked her out. I went into the basement one afternoon where she likes to nap and she was laid out on her side with her eyes open. Chloe came up and started sniffing her ears and head and Ella didn’t even blink. She just looked at me. I started petting her and finally got her moving around but she definitely was chillin’. Since that episode I am not going to give her any more but continue to give Chloe her morning dose to see if will help in any way. Like with humans, medications and supplements act differently for body so I wouldn’t say there is a problem with the product, just that everyone needed to see how their pet reacts

Jg: I have four dogs. Noo, I'm not a crazy dog lady - I worked in the veterinary field for a decade and people call me when they have difficult dogs to place in homes. They know I'm a sucker for puppy eyes and terrible behavior. Okay, maybe I am a crazy dog lady. ANYWAYS, sometimes my dogs need a breather from themselves. When humans or animals are too ramped up, their brains have no time to reset down to a reasonable level. Yay, hemp!
I've tried other dog hemp treats before. Some of them were hit and miss with my pack and we had to do a little airplane-to-the-mouth maneuvers to get them to chew those treats. But these practically got my fingers bit off! I'll have to remember to close the container well and keep them out of reach! My monsters seem to have a higher tolerance than most since the directions say to administer a 1/2chew a day for their weight, yet there wasn't much of a calming effect. But I'll wait for a longer period of time to see the longer term effects to determine if I'll reorder. The dosage price point for a pack is super reasonable - my wallet enjoys that. Though my jiu jitsu skills will definitely go downhill since I won't have to do anymore wrestling to...
