Amazon Customer: I got this for a slow leak in my tire. I work god awful hours so getting to my mechanic to have it plugged is near impossible. I tried this out and it works, It is not easy but it works. So far the plug has held and the tire no longer leaks. Not really much else to say on it. If you can manage to find the leak and work at it, this will save you a lot of money.

Chris wilder: Got it and used it right away had tire with nail waiting and it worked perfectly. Plus it has lots of extras I change the valve stems inserts and put the chrome caps on all 4. Very nice set must have for emergencies even using it once pays for itself. Also go to YouTube watch a video how to plug a tire if your not sure and sometimes you can do it on the car that's really nice..

smile-on: what you see in first picture of product is not what you get. The small "pry bar" is not included in the set I got and mine was factory sealed in cellophane. Pliers are adequate. Cutting knife gave me trouble but finished work, not pretty but did. Metal handles are nice fit for the job. Instruction is confusing. On step 3 it did not mentioned that the awl tip needs to be replaced by "file" tip. I found it does better job than just awl. Included lubrication is only for "drilling" awl tip so you can easily extend hole to a standard size require by red plug, do not cheat by putting it on plug. Just work with file tip until you get whole with no resistance. In my case, 1/8" long screw, the air leakage was fixed but not permanently. Tip, if you "plug" the tire near store, get rubber cement and brush it on the brown plug so you get better adhesion.
I was plugging tires many times with repair sets half the price of this one with rubber cement and plug with much better result. This set makes sense only in emergency situation if you far from help.
