C J: I purchased this cable to use for my dog over the winter. She has a 30' cable that is. used through the spring, summer and. fall but she was frequently getting wrapped around a tree and I would have to. go outside and untangle. her. It's. not. a safe place for me to walk during. the winter months because the ground can get slippery.
I'll save my judgement of the sturdiness and durability after a few uses. I had a similar cable last. year and. over the winter the. plastic covering cracks in several places, the cable rusted and broke.

Kaija: Great, long, easy to see leash that doesn’t tangle or get curled up on itself like others have in the past. (This is huge - it was such a problem in my prev two leads). There is a locking screw carabiner style latch on both ends’ clip. This is good and bad - works great for the end that is clasped to the stake, since you can twist it and lock it closed. Would also be great for a dog that plans to be outside unattended /for a longer period of time. However, since our dogs are usually only on it for 5-10 min at a time and they use it multiple times a day, the locking part is more of a pain than it is helpful. It gets caught when trying to close the clasp on their collar & a bit worried that one day, we might not realize it got caught. Overall tho, would give it an A rating & would recommend. Did I mention how huge it is that this doesn’t tangle!!?

Moe: Needed far sturdier dog lead than og zip line kit came with. She literally escaped breaking multiple line components & lead at multiple times. They crumbled. To be fair, before I upped her game & got her GPS remote/boundary collars, she used the zip line almost daily and wore right thru components & even the og lead twisting it up. Now her lead doesn't twist up ever with both top & bottom connectors turning perfectly & all components strengthened. I'm currently having to put her back on the line as needed for outdoor time, as she broke all 5 of her GPS collars, mostly due to water play this summer (I'm always home when she is outside & outside working on the homestead never far from her). Anyways, bought this line system last winter & was still utilizing it for a few months before ordering first set of GPS collars. The line remains a necessity when in between GPS collars. She isn't light on any toys or equipment & an expensive powerful dog. I've consigned myself to this & always work to modify her equipment as needed or look for higher quality products. I'm just glad I have the line perfected for use now, when between GPS...

Ashley B.Ashley B.: Update: after a few months of having this she has chewed through the entire cable. (her teeth are perfectly fine) but now need a new cable.
My dog has chewed through the plastic and the locking clip that slides up for extra lock doesn't work anymore. But it's still able to click on her collar and keep her where I want her when I can't stay outside and let her run. The wire is very durable and clip to on her collar has not even bent at all. So definitely do recommend if you have a large breed!
