MikeT: This double-back tape is easy to use and is very useful for lightweight jobs. This tape is only about 3/8" wide (they list it as 0.39") but it is perfect for hanging light weight objects on the wall. It is very easy to use, having a stretchy consistency. The outer layer peels off very easily to expose the double-sided adhesive. I used it to hang a small lightweight corkboard in my kitchen and it worked very well for that job. I wouldn't use it to hang heavy objects -- you would probably need a wider tape with more strength. This seller does sell a wider double-back tape (width 0.73" and width 1.18") which would probably work better for heavier objects to hang, but I haven't tested those products.
So, my advice is that if you are hanging lighter weight picture frames, cork boards, posters, etc, this tape should work well for those uses and you sure can't beat the low price.
