3M VHB Heavy-Duty Clear Mounting Tape, 1/2" x 5 Yards

Gil: 3M is probably the BEST KNOWN adhesive manufacturer in the USA. The reason for that, is if you order the right kind for your application, 3-M never disappoints. The 1/2" goes on MUCH easier than it comes off, but it will come off in one piece if you pay attention to what it is doing during the removal process. I use 3-M products for all my adhesive needs. This one is used for mounting remote taclight and laser switches, and does that job PERFECTLY! STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE 3M 1/2" VHB TAPE FOR ALL YOUR SMALL AR ACCESSSORIES!

Steve Garrison: I used this to hold a few small lights to see at night. The others are fine and didn't fall off but the one in the direct sun has fallen off twice. I think it heats up the glue to the point it fails. Now to find something stronger...

Jennifer Sangiacomo: I used this to adhere door trim to a metal jamb/frame. Screws wouldn’t get through so turned to this tape. It’s been 2 months and so far adhesion is good and the bond appears to be strong.

MY Shoppin’ Reviews: This is great for mounting plexiglass onto a vinyl storage bin type material. I made my own tabletop grinding cabinet with a window! A friend said this is the material they used to hold gas skins onto skyscrapers/buildings. I believe it!

Gabbymonster: VHB is really great and I had used this (retail packaging) before, with no complaints - but this industrial pack is really something different

1) the rad protecting layer is nearly impossible to peel off and I struggle quite a number of minutes with alot of contact on the glue surface

2) when you finally do succeed, the double sided is slightly "worn / less sticky" by the contact of your fingers doing 1

3) the double sided VHB is very very nearly gel like and elastic - and it easily springs into one lump sticking with each other when you triy to unstick it from your fingers or scissors - causing you to have to throw and restart step 1,2,3 with a new piece.

4) after a few 1,2,3 you suceed and can use it - step 4

5) will contemplate try sucking the red piece off with my mouth but my mouth may get glued together. ./s

PHILLYCD05: I am converting a closet into a recording booth and using 12 x 12 x 1 foam panels as sound proofing. One set of panels are "mushroom top" and the instructions recommended this product for applying the panels.

For ease of use, this took a some time, yet once it was started it was no problem. In order to peel the red backing from the tape itself, using fingernails to peel didn't work. I actually had to find a YouTube video which recommended using the blade of a knife to dig into the red backing to peel away. This was dead on truth and worked. Once I got it started I would cut the excess red backing just enough were there was a tab to grab and peel for my next amount.

The actual tape is pretty sticky and works well. A couple of panels I actually applied to the back of the foam and to the wall, and the tape holds up very well. For other pieces of foam I used tacky spray glue and put a backing on the foam, then applied this product to the backing and applied to wall. I found this to be a better technique and the product is holding the panels in place. So the adhesive works well!

I have yet to try to remove from wall as I know that if I remove in the wrong manner it...

Mario Wright: This tape seemed to be legit 3m tape and worked great. It was kinda like that gooey sticky stuff that some companies use to hold products into or in packaging as this stuff is very stretchy. But it does hold very well and definitely recommend.

I used it to hold up some 3D wall panels on my wall when some Douglas adhesive foam tape failed.

Amazon Customer: Amazing Tape! Used for my no drill solar setup on the roof of my camper van. Minutes after applying the solar panels were not going anywhere!
Make sure you apply tape in warmer weather. If it is cold outside, any tape will not adhere properly.
