AndrewAndrew: I’ll start off by saying I’d buy these again, however product arrived with multiple small dings/small spots without coating. With that said, I plan on using a high gloss paint to touch up strictly to avoid rusting. On one hand, kinda miffed that a brand new product wasn’t coated correctly, on the other hand, these are rock solid shackles that I feel confident in. They come in a box in bubble wrap, so I doubt it was transport as box was not damaged. Threading seems good and whole thing feels strong. For $20, I’ll gladly touch them up, and be happy. They’re going to get ruined eventually, all I care about is them working and not rusting, so like everything in life, a little preventative and ongoing maintenance is key. PRO TIP- inspect shackles and touch up before using. Check inside holes.

Waltjq43: Quality and price are very important features but the D-ring shackle must be strong and dependable so that life and property are protected when using the shackles. I will only be using the shackles during emergency extractions of vehicles so they must not fail. So far these shackles have functioned with any issues.

*Update*
The post office “found” the shackles after a week (weird) but...anyway I ordered them to tow out a semi in case we get stuck on a farm. I’ve yet to use them but they seem very sturdy. I’m sure they will serve their purpose well.
