Christopher E Hartlaub: I purchased this garage tent about 5 months ago to protect a vehicle from the winter weather and I have not been disappointed. The tent assembled quickly and I had no problem doing it by myself. The frame is light weight aluminum and the tent itself is made from a heavy duty vinyl material. The weather we have had this year has been mostly light snows and rain and the tent performed well against this weather. What was most surprising though is the way it has held up against strong winds. With the tent anchored properly it has been able to withstand several days of 65 MPH winds. The only two issues I've had are where the frame meets the tent material is tight in some spots and the wind has caused it to wear a bit. I was able to repair it easily with a tent repair kit, but colored duct tape would probably work as well. The other is on an extremely windy day one of the leg stands snapped at the point where it connects to the roof. It was disappointing but understandable due to the heavy sustained winds. I contacted customer service attempting to purchase a new pole and spoke with Caroline, who was extremely helpful and they immediately shipped out a new pole to me free of charge. The...

Judge: The carport is sturdy and waterproof. However, there is no way to secure the carport to the ground. There are no holes for the pegs, and the carport is in danger of blowing away in strong wind.

Herb JonesHerb Jones: I needed a 10'x 20' carport for a new tractor and no way I spending what they want for a metal one. The directions suggested 2-3 people to put this up well to tell you how simple this was I'm 65 and disabled and have no one around on the farm to help anymore so last Saturday I figured I would go for it and see what happens. To my surprise I was able to set this up by myself in a little over 3 hours!
Now a suggestion, I would recommend spending the money as I did for good anchors, Ratchet Tie Down Straps, some pool noodles to cover the straps (see photo) and I also bought a tarp to cover the top with in the winter to slow down the wear from ice etc. I give this two thumbs up for sure.

bdoull: My girlfriend wanted a carport for her car as fall came. I wanted something I could assemble myself and could easily move if we did not like it where we initially decided to place it. This product seemed to be the answer. The side windows that allowed us to keep an eye on the car from inside the house were a big plus for us. A windstorm only 48 hours after we put it up pushed this carport across the yard, yet otherwise it stayed intact. The top wind speed for that storm was 40 mph. I put it back and added additional reinforcement and anchoring that did not come with the carport assembly hardware. It was only another 72 hours before another storm, this time with a top wind speed of 30 mph. came and blew the carport into the side of our house and nearly took out a window and all my "enhancements" did were to scratch up my girlfriend's car when the wind moved the carport. This time several parts of the carport were so damaged they were no longer usable. Whether you blame my installation skills, or the quality of this product for its inability to withstand the wind. We actually were somewhat lucky the car or the house did not not sustain more damage than they did.
