Sonyabecca's Heat Powered Stove Fan is the perfect solution for wood log burner stoves. This eco-friendly fan is made with four blades of durable aluminum, providing silent and powerful air circulation throughout your home. Equipped with a magnetic thermometer, this fan is designed with power and battery efficiency in mind, making it one of the most durable and sturdiest Fireplace Fans on the market. With its superior build quality, you can be sure that you're getting the best value for your money.Mother Nurture: The temperature gauge broke in the first year, but we've used the fan for 2 years now and it does start turning once stove gets warm enough-needs a good roaring fire. We found placing it at the back of the stove doesn't work. It needs to be at the front where the warm air is rising from the fire. It does NOT feel warm if you stand in front of it, but it does mix the air in the room with heat from the stove so it's overall a bit warmer. Completely quiet.

jc: We are somewhat pleasantly surprised at this little fan. It actually moves the air around. Just don't expect it to keep a large room toasty. We have noticed that our LIVING ROOM ..16' X 17' , has 3 outside walls , and is located a little around the corner from the direct heat of the KUMA Woodstove ... tends to be a degree or 2 warmer. We think this is because this little guy is "pushing" the air around said corner. You can definitely feel the air flow 3' - 4' away. Although , it still is no substitute for direct radiant reflection of stove, it fills in cold spots.
Only drawback ... if it is sitting on stove when you first start it , it will blow "cooler" air because it will begin as soon as top begins to heat up. Sooo... wait until stove top heats up for 15 - 20 minutes before you put it on stove.

Amazon Customer: We thought we were getting a bigger blade unit that would move the hot air inside the house but thought it works it is too small to actually move hardly any air at all

Simon Wang: Fast shipping. Customer support was excellent. Had an issue with the fan and contacted customer service. They responded right away and offered a replacement. Received the replacement within a week and it works great.

Alfonso Mucci: This is the second same fan I have purchased. The first was purchased a year ago, still works well and remains quiet. To make sure it starts on its own, it needs an occasional dusting and I lubricate the rotor with graphite. Unfortunately, it does not displace warm air very efficiently, the reason I purchased a second one.

JJVANO: Bought this fan to try out last season but wanted to stay inexpensive, not knowing if the impact to airflow would be worth the price. Had it on the back of the stove off to the side so air from behind could be pulled in and blown across the top; as the thermoelectric material works from the temperature differential of heat being conducted across to produce electricity. It moved a little air but the surface, when the stove was running hot, was in the lower operating range on the thermometer; of course, it doesn't help that the stove top has dimples which reduce metal on metal contact. This year, I moved the fan to the hotplate where the catalytic combuster operates, still in the back side. The fan runs with a drastic improvement and you can hear the fan if you listen for it and feel the air beyond a few feet. Originally I did not do this because I did not want to cause damage from excessive heat per recommendations but I feel this should work. There is cool air coming in from the back, despite being near the stove pipe. The bimetalic strip does curl and the fan vibrates a little when the internal combuster temperature gets about 1100-1200°F (not sure hotplate surface temperature...

Itso-good!: I bought a Caframo ecofan a few years ago and it was bigger and waaay more expensive than this fan. The Caframo had a two blade fan but was supposed to be better cfm's than THEIR (caframo's) 3 blade fan, which is the most they make. A woman on the phone said their 2 blade model puts out more cfm. Well this fan blows more air than the caframo and is quite a bit smaller. I think the 4 blades make a difference. Not sure that's the only difference but it does seem to move more air. The caframo says it has a 175 cfm rating. This fan claims 360 cfm... more than double..... not sure it's double but I believe it is more. The motor on the caframo gave up the ghost so I can't tell if there is that much difference as double cfm's. It would cost about half the price of this fan to get the caframo back up and running with their replacement. Might try a cheap hobby store motor to see if that fixes the caframo as the motor is just a low voltage motor. It's run by a peltier chip that produces low voltage to run the motor.
Is this fan silent? Well, it's pretty quiet. Is it no noise at all...? No. You definitely hear the blades spinning and moving air when up to speed. But the motor seems to...

Keith: This type of fan does not circulate much air, but I use them more for its uniqueness and subject of conversation. I have 2 types and will probably buy more...lol
