Healthy Cooking Made Easy: Elite Gourmet 4 Quart Air Fryer (EAF4617)

Rod: I’m a single guy and this fryer is perfect for my needs. Yes, it does have a smell when it’s first used, so before I used it for the first time I took it out to my workshop and set the temperature at 395 degrees for 20 minutes to burn off the manufacturing materials. It’s just fine now and does a good job for what I need. It’s small enough that it doesn’t take up a lot of space on my countertop. It’s a pretty good fryer for the price. My only complaint is the pan. You have to use tongs to remove the food, you can’t just dump it onto a plate and for that I gave it four stars.

Kim Allen: Choose this for the price. I was looking at the 2.1 Qt air fryers and the price on this one is why I chose it. The Drawer to pull out for the basket does not go all the way back in. It is like its off track. You can still use it though. Temperature control is difficult at first to set. Finally had to play around with the controls to get what I wanted. Overall, for the price it is an okay air fryer.

- bottom grate falls out when moving food
- food gets stuck in the tray/grate thing
- a bit bulky in size

daisy fan: purchased 1.1 qt unit, needed something small after donating a 12"x12"x12" cruisinart stainless steel difficult to clean unit.....this is a nice size, easy to clean inside, i use one of those silicone liners, to help keep it clean, big enough for 1, depending what you are cooking can be big enough for 2 servings. everything comes out crispy with no oil at all, love this unit, i also have a Gourmet Elite 8x8 electric skillet, am very pleased with both units from this company.

AbbigailAbbigail: Very compact and perfect for a small kitchen. Great for quick snacks and treats but not big enough to make more than 1 serving of fries or anything. You can easily change the temp and has recommended times and Temps listed for certain things. I gave 4 stars because I don't really like the timer dial, hard to tell exact time and the lettering washes off VERY easily. I wiped it the whole thing down when I was cleaning one day and realized that the lettering was actually coming off on the top and is almost completely gone around the timer so you pretty much have to wipe it down with something dry. Overall, good small compact airfryer for the price. Would be perfect for a studio apartment or dorm room.

JessJess: I got this air fryer because it was the smallest I could find, good trial appliance. It is about the size of a kettle or coffee maker which is what I was looking for with limited counter space. Initially per the instruction booklet the first few times may seem alarming due to the burning plastic smell but this is as expected and will decrease over time with use. The settings are very basic and easy to use, select your temperature and time and it'll automatically start. I made a chicken burger (from scratch) in 9 minutes and it came out crispy and juicy. Very easy to clean. I did get some 6" liners as well. I would say this machine is good for one person though you can cook for two in multiple batches since it's so fast. For example the tray is enough for one burger patty, 1/2 lb wings, one large chicken breast or 2 smaller thighs, 2 drumsticks, half a cup of fries. It's so nice not having to turn the oven on for a bachelor. If you are unsure if this is a good size for two ppl I would say get a size up.

Alex: We've had this for approximately 10 months and it's still going great. We bought it at $63.50 before tax, and we thought it was a good deal for the price then. It does what an air fryer does - provide heat and a fan to circulate the hot air, with a timer for setting how long things cook.

Could things be better? Of course. A way to set the temperature digitally would be great for precise cooking, but for the most part, the rough guess and eyeballing of the settings has worked fine.

We've cooked steaks, chicken nuggets, chicken wings, a single slice of pizza, salmon, broccoli and warmed up egg tarts and pastries etc. They've all turned out fine, but that's also because of how we cook. Most times, the temperature settings and duration listed in recipes are recommendations of how to get a certain result.

When you cook, you should be checking on your dish to ensure it doesn't burn etc so it's easy to catch when the heat's been turned too high so this has worked out for us. I also set my own timers usually, so I've not needed to rely on the air fryer's timer.

If you need precise temperatures and an exact timer, this is not for you. If you're easygoing and are...
