Refitting wires into new unit takes time and I found the new attachment screws require a very small philips or straight screwdriver. When you think the screws are tight check twice as I found I had to retighten to really get a snug proper contact. Other than this the face is easy to read and controls are simple. If your original stat was not lit on the face you will need to install 2 AAA batteries for it to work.

I never heard of the brand but got home at 1 am and my old carrier tstat was broken, tried to fix it for about half hour to no avail. did a quick amazon search and liked this model for its simplicity and clean look. I don’t like all that fancy programmable stuff. placed the order around 2 am and with my Prime service it arrived a few hours later at 8 am. unbelievable. i had already removed the old one and the instructions were very easy. took about 10 minutes and AC was up and running. I like the large display which shows set temp and actual temp at same time. no need to push buttons, and the temp control is super easy up or down. Highly recommend and would definitely order again if ever needed.

I purchased 2 Heagstat non-programmable thermostats to replace 2 new Honeywell programmable thermostats recently installed by professionals to replace broken older thermostats. We had difficulty reading the set temperature on the Honeywells because of the very thin and light print, so we replaced them with the Heagstats, and we are really happy with these attractive and easy-to-use thermostats. They work smoothly and flawlessly, are well-made, accurate, have large block easy-to read numbers, and a front opening battery compartment. touching the up or down temperature control arrow buttons lights up the LCD display, and pressing again raises or lowers the temperature setting. These arrow buttons, the on/off/auto switch, and the battery door all work very smoothly. We are very happy with our new thermostats and I highly recommend Heagstat.

My previous thermostat would allow the temperature to go several degrees warmer and cooler before it would kick the furnace on or off, making me feel either to warm or to cold often
This thermostat maintains the set temperature with little to no variation, making the home feel much more comfortable throughout the day and night. Definitely recommend.
It's also easy to read and adjust. I don't like programmable thermostats. This is simple, inexpensive and fits my needs perfectly
