I have always trusted Hartz Flea & Tick Products for my Pets. This is my first purchase for my pet Cat and it worked tremendously well. I have had Dogs all of my life & Hartz has been my Go To Product for Flea Treatments for decades. I got a Cat about a year ago and somehow a few fleas managed to get onto her inside of the house. As soon as I applied the tube of Flea Treatment, the fleas were jumping Ship, so to speak. Even though I play with and scratch my Cat every day, Ik had not seen or felt a flea, but I knew that she had a few from her scratching at her neck area and fleas are very sneaky. Needless to say, they were "located" and started to vacate as soon as I applied this Hartz Flea product. The Oil is clear and easily comes out of the tube for you to massage it into your Cat's Shoulder Blades and Neck areas. She did sneeze after a few minutes, but she is just fine and received her first good night's sleep in 2 weeks. Highly recommend this product!! It does what it says and does not play around. My Cat is about 5 lbs. and is 4 yrs. of Age. I purchased the 3 Pack of Tubes @ 0.056 fl. oz. or...

This item works for my domestic short hair cats. However, when I applied it to my Ragdoll she was foaming out of her mouth. She was suffering burns in her mouth. When I saw that my heart sunk and I was sure she was gonna die from poisoning. I rushed over and filled a syringe with water and flushed it out her mouth. Then I went to wash her in my shower with cat soap/shampoo, and dial soap. Her fur was falling out and she was extremely sick after. Once I was sure I rinsed everything out her mouth I fed her wet food to get the taste out her mouth. She ate it surprisingly. But I could tell that she loss a bit of trust in me as I was the one to apply the treatment on her.
The only reason why I used this treatment on her was because we brought in a stray cat that seemed to have fleas. Because they interacted I wanted to make sure she didn’t have fleas because she is a long hair cat.
She is doing okay today and made it through! I don’t recommend this for pure bread cats!!! I applied everything like in the instructions. I even used treatment on the stray cat and my other tabby kitten. They were fine!!!! But I don’t recommend on Ragdoll or long hair...

Treebu: I hate the smell. It works really good tho. I wish I knew if it hurts every time I put it in my car. He jumps every time I put it on his neck. Sometimes, not everytime, it leaves a bald spot where I applied it, that’s another reason why I think it might not feel good going on. Bcuz my low income budget cannot afford the $35/month flea n tick killer, this one has to do, and it has done great no fleas or ticks ever. My vet did not recommend to use Hartz bc it supposedly causes nerve damage and bad long term side effects to the cats neuro system. She was pushing to use Revolution Flea and Tick at $35/month but I cannot possibly afford that much money. I didn’t even plan on having my sweet kitty bc I’m so allergic to them, but I rescued him at 2 weeks old abandoned on the side of the road and he chose me and I fell in love. So I do what I can the best i can. This product works and keeps us all happy.

I know there have been cases where this has not been safe for animals, so for that reason I am knocking a star. However, that has not been my experience. I have used this on my 2 cats whenever they have gotten fleas. They’re 6 years old now and I have had to buy this a couple of times. They don’t get fleas very often, but most recently my dog was completely infested. I figured the cats gave him the fleas so I checked it out and they didn’t have much.. I wasn’t going to end up using it, until a few days later, I realized the cats were getting full of fleas. Fleas were jumping all over the furniture. Gross.
With three pets, the fleas can get bad quickly. When it was just my two cats, fleas would be gone in 2-3 days after use. This time with a huge pit and the 2 cats, it took a couple of extra days and I had to put a little more effort towards the cleaning. Still, it worked. It’s affordable and my cats have not had any reactions. I like to do the treatments separately now, because if not, the cats will start to groom each other and that is the only time I noticed anything weird. One of my cats was eating it off the other and was drooling. He’s fine...
