Shannon L. Bandler: I ordered this because I have trigger finger and my finger locks during the night. I now sleep with this and it works!!

Susan Smart: Here's why this splint works better than the others. It's unobtrusive. It's brilliant design won't let your finger bend enough to get stuck in the trigger finger mode, yet it does give it ability to bend slightly. That slight bend is just enough to be able to type on a computer. I've tried other traditional splints and this is the only one that you don't have to remove in order to type. The design of this splint makes it that the bulk of the splint is actually in your palm, not on the outer part of your hand ( FYI, I have small hands and it is not the slightest issue that it's by your palm. I don't notice it at all, it is 100% comfortable). Why is it good that it's not noticeable? Because you can walk around without the splint being the first thing people notice when they see you. Before I got this splint I wore other splints and I was always asked what happened to my finger. With this splint people almost never even notice it, or if the do, they almost never ask about it. It kind of looks like you might just have something in your hand or on your finger. It doesn't stick out, it doesn't look weird. It just does it's job quietly. Also, with other splints I had to remove them to...

rudy Gasparelli: Great idea. After a time I replaced the velcro strap. It happened to be a bit wider and actually worked better than the original.

Kevin Schell: Have only had this product on my hand for less than 2 weeks... the velcro fastener is slipping all the time and lost its sick. Barley does what the item claims to do. Have not received communications through the vendor yet even though I sent a complaint. Not happy . Trigger fingers can take up to 6 months to heal and need to be stabilized. This piece that calls itself a support is falling apart now and will not last another week. You need to be able to remove pieces like this for washing hands etc and it is not holding up to this at all. The label on the piece is a cheap sticker that fell off as well.

Sammy: I suffer from what's called trigger thumb (or finger). Basically my thumb joint where it bends is clicking and it hurts when it does. It's a repetitive stress injury from using a touch pad on my laptop, and from holding an ipad. I needed a small thumb splint to hold my thumb straight so that it might heal. This splint doesn't look like much right out of the package, but some thought went into it's design, and it works beautifully. For $22, I feel the price is a little high, and perhaps there should be the option of another velcro ring higher up on the splint. But for the most part, this is a great product. Comfortable to wear, and I'm going to order a couple more for our first aid kits.

Edited to add: I was wearing the splint upside down so no, there is no need for extra velcro. It fits well and in particular, the little flap that rests against your hand helps to keep balance while your digit is extended. Also of note, this splint is very comfortable to wear and even sleep with. I change my mind. It IS worth the $22. Good design, fits great.

AJSlev: Trigger Finger. What a crazy name for a crazy ailment! Put "Itchy" in front & you could be describing a character from a Western Movie! Kind of funny, unless you just happen to be suffering from this condition. Then you can't believe how frustrating, inconvenient, & sometimes embarrassing it can be!

Try bending and opening your fingers. Now imagine one of your fingers staying in the bent position. Try to straighten that finger without helping it with your other hand. Sometimes you can but it feels weird. Sometimes it'll make a popping sound. And sometimes it even hurts. That's what Trigger Finger is all about. And, unless you go to a doctor and get a cortisone shot, don't expect it to go away by itself. And, what can you do to let you use your hand AND not have your finger, sooner or later, cramp up...for lack of a better description of what happens.

So, I started looking online for something that would keep my finger from staying in the bent position BUT allow full use of my hand. Looked at the usual stores..Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc, but didn't find anything. And a finger splint was not a consideration..it to would immobilize the finger but also render...

Naty: Good quality and well-designed but a little bit pricey. It stabilize just enough my finger so I am able to do my everyday tasks. After the second week of use I still feel the stiffness and pain in my finger. Will see in the future. The healing process will take some time so be patient.

L. Pierce: A couple thoughts on this product. It seems well made, and holds up even if it becomes wet - it also dries relatively quickly. It does not unconditionally cure trigger finger. It does, however, provide relief because it prevents that finger from curling tightly enough to move the tendon to the point of catching. However, and this is important, it can actually aggravate the condition if the finger is used for tight gripping with the splint on - the firmness of the splint creates resistance and gripping against that resistance stresses the tendon that is inflamed. The best way to think of the splint is as a aid - to prevent unintentional tight closing of the finger, and as a reminder to avoid stressing the finger.

I used the splint regularly for over a month. It's important to adjust the velcro strap so that it is not too tight, as this restricts blood flow. To be comfortable, I adjust it so that is almost wants to fall off (but doesn't). Finally, it will catch when you put your hand into a pants pocket or try and manipulate certain kinds of ordinary objects, so keeping it snug enough but not tight makes it easy to slip off before performing those actions. I've slept with it...
