Mr. M. Jennings: Unfortunately this item came in a damaged box and would not power on. Such a shame as we were really looking forward to having this in our home. We have started the return process and hope to source another soon. So disappointed it didn't work 😳

Todd Waltman: I love that the carafe is built into the unit. I was looking for a thermal carafe that wasn't glass, since I seem to break the glass ones once per year. And I wanted to have a carafe that would keep the coffee warm without it getting burnt and bitter. This unit keeps the coffee warm for various time settings, I have mine set to 4 hours. The warming carafe keeps the coffee warm without it getting burnt and bitter, the longest I've pushed it is 3.5 hours (I guess I drink it too fast!). There are only a couple downsides. One is that I have to hold the unit while pressing the button with the cup to dispense, otherwise it pushes backwards. The other is the carafe is large and clunky to clean. But, it brews fast and keeps the coffee fresh for a long time. Those outweigh the couple negatives greatly and I love this coffee maker!

cruzplanner: First, I would suggest buying some cheap coffee and brew 2 or 3 containers and throwing these away as I found the first couple of batches had a funky plastic taste. By the fourth day the flavor was better and has continued to improve with each use.

Secondly, I would recommend the manufacturer make a protector of some sort so that when you are filling the water reservoir the heating element does not get wet. You have to be careful about pouring the water into the reservoir or you'll get this wet and it will boil between the heating element and the heating plate where the coffee is stored. This is one of the reasons for a 4 star rating.

Finally, it would be nice to have a small LED light where the coffee comes out to light the inside of your cup. It is so dark, and you cannot see what level of fullness your cup is. My wife does not like this machine for that reason. Loves the coffee but does not like not being able to see when getting coffee.

John CJohn C: I want to begin by saying that I absolutely love this thing. I was on the lookout for a coffee maker that would reduce the amount of spillage that my wife does when she pours her coffee. This turned out to be a great solution.

We are on our second version of this product. We had a red one at first got it a few years ago. We now have a black one. Here's where the honesty comes in.

The quality of a black one is less than the red one for sure. If the red one was a 9 out of 10 Star product when it comes to quality then the black one is probably a seven and a half. The pieces don't have quite the super snug fit that the red one had and the plastic just seems a little bit less refined if that makes sense.

The ability to keep your coffee warm the variations of Brew types the Simplicity of use the pour feature are all fantastic. I've seen several on here stating that it leaks. Sure when you overfill it it leaks. If you pour in the water too fast it's going to leak or dribble. After extended use if you don't keep it clean yes it will drip.

Geoff Smith: This is a great coffee maker but not perfect. It truly keeps the coffee hot whereas all double walled carafes are tepid in 40 mins.
The machine is easy to use but it seems a lot of people over look the obvious as they separate the parts and put the water in the wrong place even though there is 12 cup fill guide on the left hand side of the lowest section.
My machine had both of the common problems, the leaking at the pour lever and the heater boiling the water.
There is videos on Youtube for both problems. It took 5 mins to adjust the pour lever problem and 2 mins to put two pieces of aluminum foil over the heater to prevent it from boiling the coffee.
The one HUGE improvement for this would be an LED light near the pour lever so when filling your mug you can see how full it is getting without having all the lights on in the kitchen LOL
