It beats evenly, works great. I was kinda expecting a deep Belgian style maker but honestly it looks like a normal waffle maker however I made the most delicious Leige Belgian waffles on it and they’re great. I could make 4/5 at a time since they’re not the full size anyways. I’d buy again!

This little guy is perfect for me. I usually end up making extra waffles and freezing them so I can pop them in the toaster later. They come out nice and crisp and don't stick. The only thing, I wish it had an on and off switch (you have to plug and unplug it) and it would be nice if the trays were removable for washing. Otherwise, it works well and stores easily because of it's size.

My kids have been asking me to make waffles, I finally decided on buying this square one. (We have an Olaf one, cute but not easy to use)
Waffle turn out really well, once you get the hang of it.
No issues with batter leaking from sides once I close it. Even if I fill it up with batter.
You can adjust the temp (my setting stays in medium) my kids do like it a bit crunchy, just have to watch it, after a while i sort of figure out when to take the waffle out before it burns.
I have no complaint so far. I find this easy to use maybe I’ll make waffles more often than rarely, since my kids prefer this than pancakes.
I’ll update this if I ever had any issues.

Received damaged stability of the base not good and becomes very hot from outer as it doesn't have handle to open it is very difficult to open as it is hot. Upper side of waffle not cook properly.

DON'T FORGET the spray! Although this Hamilton Beach waffle maker is non-stick, you will only make the mistake once of not using spray! (Yes, been there, done that and got the t-shirt!). A light spray does the trick beautifully. (We use coconut oil spray.) Wanting/needing to make healthy waffles for our family of five we looked at several before deciding on this one. Yes, the price is definitely reasonable but what sold us was the fact that it made four at a time. Can you imagine how long it would take for all of us to be fed if we could only cook one at a time. After much trial and error we have found that 1/3 (one third) cup of mixture PER waffle, does the job without it spilling over most of the time.
Not wanting to get the waffle maker out more than once or twice a week we usually make up a double batch (approximately 32 waffles), cook them all and freeze what we don't eat. When we want one, just pop it in the toaster and voila! In a few minutes you have a 'fresh' waffle. Each waffle is approximately 4 3/4" x 4 1/8".
The waffle plates themselves, being non-stick, are easy to clean. The rest of the waffle maker is not. There is a trench around...
