Katrina WKatrina W: Firstly, the most recent time I ordered this I chose the seller “Paradine Services” because they had great reviews and some of the sellers that showed up first for this product did not. There were none available with prime shipping/from Amazon warehouses. It arrived in 2 days even though it’s currently “supply chain shortage” time—Amazon said not to expect it for 2 weeks. Packaging was perfect, no leaks, full authentic bottle. Order from this seller if you can!

The oil itself should be a staple for anyone who wants new fur growth to come in shiny and healthy. Absolutely the best product for fur health.

I am guessing the oil either doesn’t taste that great (there is cod liver oil in there) or some dogs don’t like the oily texture coating their their mouths. The best method I’ve tried is to get a syringe and squirt the appropriate amount inside their cheek (by the back of their mouth, near molars) before mealtime. A 3mL/3cc syringe holds one teaspoon of this oil, so for example mine need 2 teaspoons dosage so they get 2 syringes.

This is my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with two separate dogs, over the course of 15 years… I have recommended this to friends, family and neighbors, and they all have seen a 100% improvement in their dog’s skin, coat, and energy.

If you have a dog and live in South Florida, you know they get the itches...their skin gets irritated and inflamed, and they won't quit scratching and biting themselves. So, you take your dog to the vet, and they sell you a bunch of expensive meds that you have to administer twice a day. And they also put your dog on a diet with a special (expensive) type of pet food that you can only buy from the vet. OR SELL YOU THE HUMILIATING LAMPSHADE COLLAR!!! (Look, I’m not trying to bash the Veterinaries of the world…we have had one of the best for a long time, now.)

I see a guy and his Chocolate Lab at PetSmart several years back, and asked him how he managed to get his dog’s coat so nice. He tells me about Dream Coat. He said, “A teaspoon or two a day. My dog was on several different types of dermal meds, special diet, couldn’t bring him to the dog park…until someone told me about Dream Coat.”

I was in...

Petro: I previously would have given this product and enthusiastic 5 stars. I used it for my cocker spaniel for years with excellent results. The reason for the one star is that they have changed the formula without telling the consumer. The way I found out was that my cocker always eagerly licked it up from a bowl. Immediately upon opening a new bottle (going from the old white cap to the new black cap) he refused it. He would take one lick and then back away. I glanced at the ingredients and they seemed similar so I opened another bottle, thinking there may be something wrong with that particular bottle. This also had the new design and black cap. Again it was refused.

I then looked closer at the guaranteed Analysis and noticed this:

One teaspoon now says it contains 55 IU's of Vitamin A
The old bottle said that one ounce contained 5,000 IU's of Vitamin A. Since one ounce contains 6 teaspoons. One teaspoon previously offered 833 IU's of Vitamin A

I don't know what else has changed but I wrote to Halo and they did confirm the formula change. This is of particular importance to me because my cocker has an increased need for Vitamin A.

Also be aware, most...
