Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Very mixed feeling about the product. Couple of major nagatives:

1) This filter has only been NSF certified for NSF 42 standard (which is only for aesthetic aspects and NOT the health hazards). Samsung original filters are certified for both NSF 42 and 53. Company clearly makes claims that their filter remove particles “Cerified by NSF” which bears no evidence. See the photos attached and insert from NSF website for further details about NSF 42 and 53.

2) Product is made in China! On multiple locations company is misleading consumers that this manufacturing is US based. Here is the insert from the amazon page:

“PURELINE vs. OTHER GENERIC BRANDS: Most generic filters on the market are sold by Chinese companies that do not care about your family’s drinking water, rather just about making a quick buck. They manufacture cheap generic filters that are very unreliable for reducing contaminants. PURELINE is located in Elmwood Park, NJ. PURELINE manufactures a filter that meets the same standards as the Samsung OEM.”

Aside from all falsified and misleading inforamtion above, product arrived ontime and fits well....

Silent1961: Package arrived factory sealed. All 3 cartridges were individually plastic wrapped and the caps were intact. It took longer to remove the plastic wrap than to replace the filter cartridge itself. OEM filter had 1 O-ring while the replacement filters have 2. Other than that, no difference in the cartridge design. At least for my model of Samsung refrigerator, I did not have to turn off the water source before changing cartridges. I did accidentally tip the old cartridge downwards slightly and some water spilled out which was my fault. Otherwise no issues. After running 12 liters of water through the line before having a glass to drink, there was still a bit of off taste. Possibly a bit of charcoal contaminate still present. Ran another 8 liters and found the off taste had disappeared. Next replacement I'll run through 20 liters before tasting the water quality. Total time was less than 15 seconds to replace the filter and about 5 minutes for running water to clear the line of contaminates. After a week since install, I've consumed 40-50 glasses of water with no foul taste. There is also no indication of any leakage which was my primary concern with using an aftermarket product....

Kelly B.Kelly B.: I specifically am reviewing to make sure everyone understands that these are indeed awesome filters and to correct errors in prior reviews.

One of the reviewers gave it 2 stars because the picture showed 1 seal on top and the details in the ad says it’s rated for 400 gallons.

Whist the pic in the ad shows one seal, the replacements do have 2 seals. My original Samsung in the attached photo also has 2 seals (not 1 as the other review suggested). So it’s exactly the same as the OEM filter.

The label on the replacement says it’s rated for 300 gallons, not 400 as the ad says. However, the original Samsung is also rated for 300 gal (you can zoom in on the picture to see it). Again, exactly the same as the OEM filter, so no issues.

I was slightly nervous ordering these as they didn’t show the bottom of the filter in the ad. The bottom of the replacent filter does indeed have the locking cap to grip onto (just like the original) so its super easy to install.

As a side note, I had trouble determining the exact model number I needed for my 8 month old fridge. I googled it and couldn’t find my model listed anywhere. So I contacted Samsung (via...

Kristjan Snidal: Hi, I like to review products when I have actually used them, but I forget and then it's not a priority. I always, have 2 or 3 on hand so I don't run out when I need to change filters on my fridge and that's the reason I picked these up. First, Great Price and second, Quick shipping I got them very quickly. I didn't use one yet because I bought them for replacements of my last one I had, They Look identical, they Appear to be the exact replacement filter I need, but it will be 5 months or so until I need to use one, I will be more than happy to say more then. Until, then, I was happy on the fast shipping and price, keeping my fingers the product works as well as I expect. Sorry if I didn't add more, I am not Donald Trump, just can't lie so I told what is the truth. Hope this helps. PS If I have good luck with them, I will buy them again. :D
