John T.: Perfect fit replacement for OEM filter. Outlet shape is a little different, but appears to have similar area, so flow should not be affected. A little food grade silicone grease will help installation as these don’t come pre-lubed.

Gsxrtogs: Tried these out because after only a few weeks the expensive manufacturer filters would clog. For the price of one manufacturer filter, you get three and they appear to be lasting much longer.

Tony A: I don’t know if you all know how confusing and unknowingly misleading filter companies can be. I spent days cross referencing and calling companies to find the filter that would work in my refrigerator. FINALLY I found this one that HAD A PICTURE OF TGE TOP OF THE FILTER which is CRUCIAL to knowing if it will actually work or not. Other references said my refrigerator used a different filter and whenever I compared my actual old one to their suggested one, It showed a different configuration on the top screw in point. NOT UNTIL this filter came along, could I find one that fit. My refrigerator is an AMANA/MAYTAG. This filter is not as good as the one I had before, which blocked out many more chemicals than this one BUT this one fit! AMEN! Lady said old filter is on back order and they are looking for a replacement for it as it will probably never come back in for sale. Good luck y’all. Oh, an ORIGINAL replacement costs $68 for 1 filter. No thanks.

Ryan Justin: I purchased this filter to replace a filter in my Kitchenaid fridge that is approximately five months old. It came with the top rated filter made by the brand in the manual and the Kitchenaid website.

It’s possible the one I replaced was just a defective filter, but from day one even after following the installation and flushing procedure it never produced a reasonable flow at the fridge spout and the ice made in the freezer was noticeably small and “light”.

I followed the exact same installation and flushing procedure to install this replacement filter and immediately noticed a difference in water flow and ice production. A glass of water is now filled in at least half the time it used to take.

In addition everyone who has tried water from this new filter has commented on it tasting better and more fresh than previously with the OEM filter. Once again, this may be due to a defect in that filter but even if it were, replacing that that defective filter with the same model would cost three times more than this one.

Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and have only noticed benefits/improvements over the more expensive filter. Our taste...
