Chris: These are simply the best, well built, solid scissors I have owned. I’ve been using them for months now and they are a pleasure to use. They cut through denim and canvas like butter and also cut the thinnest films and plastic with ease.

DiLaughingDiLaughing: These are my go-to scissors when I sew. I have 3 pairs of Ginghers, 3 pairs of Fiskars, and two of the Guggenhein. I've been sewing for more than 50 years, and these are my all-time favorite. I like the heft, I love the long blades, and I even like the "snick, snick, snick" sound they make when I use them!

Sue Leschen: This is an excellent pair of scissors. They require minimum effort to cut through fabric and even leather. The scissors glide through material, are easy to open and close and leave a very clean edge. I have cut through several layers of heavier weight fabric and have had the same excellent results.

Barbara B. AnceBarbara B. Ance: I loved these scissors. I paid $80 for them. Everytime I used them, I carefully put them back in the box they came in. I won't let any members of my family use them because in the past they have ruined so many pairs of my scissors. They are so sharp and handle easily which is important to me as I have severe arthritis in my fingers and using my hands is always a challenge. But I am so disappointed in that the first time I dropped them from my cutting table, not directly onto the floor but on my shoeless foot (ouch!), then onto the wooden floor, the tip broke off the scissors as shown in the picture and my foot is numb!. Now should an $80 pair of scissors do this? NO!! I am so disappointed since I've barely used them and have taken such good care of them. I would have loved to have given them a 5 star rating but the quality in the materials used is certainly lacking and I cannot give them any higher of a review.

UPDATE: After this review, the seller reached out to me the next morning. They sent a very nice post and agreed that the scissors were defective and would replace them at no charge. I did offer to send them the broken pair but have not received a response. I will...

MEB: These scissors are horrible!! They stick and the handles are covered with some type of plastic, making it difficult to hold. The scissors stick badly and I'm glad I tried them on fabric remnants before destroying good fabric! The photo shows a lovely box worthy of a gift, but they came in a cheap white box. I contacted the seller via email over a week ago and no response. Waiting to see how I get my "free" Gingher shears, but not holding my breath!! I'm assuming their guarantee is as good as their product! Don't waste your time! Buy quality shears from a reputable company!!!

1/24/19 UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller soon after my original review was posted. I have since been in communication with them and they have tried very hard to make me happy. So they get an A+++ for customer service!! I received a replacement pair of shears by another manufacturer, Butta and was told I could keep the original shears. I asked if I could have time to try them out and they gladly agreed. I do think the replacement shears are better than the originals, by far. But I am used to using the Gingher brand and these just don't have the same hand feel as the Ginghers. I have contacted the...
