Pinking Shears ***** I was tired of fighting with the plastic-handled cheapies that I learned I couldn't get resharpened and got a couple pair of these. They're sturdier and easier to use than the cheapies and give great results.

Knife Edge 8" Shears***** After using my friend's while sewing at their home, I knew I'd found the "good" pair of fabric scissors I needed. These stay sharp, don't feel too big in my hand, and I can use them with my left hand as well, which is always a huge win in my book.

Knife Edge 5" Sewing Scissors***** I work on a lot of doll clothes so having a smaller pair of excellent shears makes cutting out those patterns much easier.

Gingher Epaulette 3.5"**** The cutting surface on these is fantastic. The only reason these get a 4/5 stars is b/c I do find it hard to get my fingers out of the holes due to the way they're shaped.

One of the best parts about owning these is sending them back to the factory when they need sharpened is pretty simple, especially for the pinking shears.

Gerald Goyette: These are the best and sharpest scissors I have ever used hands down! Super quality with a lifetime guarantee. I did quite a bit of on-line research before I bought these. I am using these for all my curved pattern and fabric cuts, I only use my circular cutter for very long straight cuts. These scissors have improved my work so much!. A must have! An added benefit is I priced these exact scissors at JoAnn's just this week they were selling them for $59, half the price here on Amazon!

alooknac: Everything the reviews say is true - cut like butter, cut to the very tip. I was worried about a few reports that some people got scissors that were extremely hard to open/close, so I made sure my purchase included free return shipping. But mine do not have that problem, the tension is just right. I thought my 50-year-old scissors were so great but I didn't realize how dull they had become. I tried getting them sharpened but they actually got worse so I bought these and am so glad I did.

Michael: There is not much to dislike about these pair of thread nippers. They can get any job done where you need thread removed. I even had them remove all the folded thread work around the waist of an elasticised pair of shorts for the kids. Very sturdily built, stainless steel construction that will surely last decades with a little care. Highly recommended.
