Gourmia GHB2360 Introducing the Gourmia GHB2360 12-Speed Illuminating Immersion Hand Blender with Turbo Mode. This blender is designed to provide comfort and convenience with its ergonomic handle and integrated LED spotlight. The powerful 300 watt motor gives you the power to blend with ease, while the included whisk attachment adds versatility. Rated as one of the best Immersion Blenders based on blending power, build quality, customer support, and design, the Gourmia GHB2360 is the perfect tool for all your blending needs. MM: One of the best parts of an immersion blender is being able to blend soufflés and soups in their pots without having to transfer to a blender/mixer and back again. The most frustrating part of immersion blenders is not knowing if you'll get a nice, clean blend or a kitchen that looks like an explosion occurred. The Gourmia Immersion Blender solves that problem for me. In making a soufflé and a soup, I was able to mix and blend the ingredients by starting at a slow speed on the variable speed dial (1-12) and slowly working my way up to a higher speed. When whipping egg whites for a recipe, the turbo button and the whisk attachment made easy work, allowing me to quickly get to stiff peaks with little effort.
The LED light on the motor is more than just a gimmick. This allowed me to easily see what was in the soup pot without fuss as the high walls and my body obscure the light going into the pot.
The motor itself feels like a heavy duty construction that is very solid. It doesn't shake too much and my hand/arm didn't get tired from using it, like my experience with other stick blenders.
Overall, I'm very excited and happy with this blender and look forward to...

Warren: The hand blender combination whip based mixer is great on many different levels. First, it is remarkably convenient to use. Its motor is remarkably strong, making quick work of anything one would need to blend or puree. The whip/mix attachment is also very convenient for frothing milk, whipping egg whites or simply to mix a small batter. Perfect for pancake mix!! Compared to a standard blender or food processor, clean-up requires literally ten percent of the effort. It detaches and reattaches easily and cleans up in less than thirty seconds. From a storage perspective, this hand blender takes up virtually no room at all. It has the power to blend a four gallon pot of soup with ease. I used it for a pot of heavy vegetable soup which included huge carrots, parsnip, sweet potatoes and a load of vegies. It took less than three minutes to puree the entire pot. I HIGHLY recommend this Gourmia hand blender!!

R.B. Michael: I’ve had this for a few weeks now, and had ample opportunity to use both the whisk and immersion blender attachments. I’ve used the whisk to make/mix up things from pancake & waffle mix, to whipped cream, to meringue for macarons; and the immersion for soups/bisques (tomato soup, butternut squash soup), and to make pesto, hummus and salsa verde. Anything I've done, it’s taken it all in stride.
The highest praise I can give a tool is that it’s something that I use all the time, and that does exactly what I need it to do. That’s been my experience with this: I've used it every day since I got it, and it's done exactly what I need it to do with no hassle and minimal setup/cleaning. It’s been perfect for the day-to-day cooking/baking for just myself, particularly in a small kitchen where space is at a premium. I really couldn't ask for or expect more out of this.

ary: I just used the immersion blender for the first time to make a smoothie. It worked great, blending everything in seconds. I love that this blender has one bent blade, which makes it less likely for those chunks to get caught under them. I threw in some ice cubes as well for consistency; wasn't a problem; although I recommend not doing too many at once, and not slamming the blender down on them as it might ruin the blade. I thought it was really cool that there is a dial for multiple speeds (like a standing blender), so even on low, I was able to switch higher and lower to get the right speed and consistency. I have only ever seen immersion blenders with the classic two buttons; this also has that but then you can turn the dial as needed. The spotlight wasn't too helpful for me, but is a cool addition. I think that it is meant to help locate chunks, but I didn't have any.. Will soon be using for soups, smoothies, milk shakes etc. I didn't use the whisk attachment yet, but it seemed to work fine when I did it in the air. All in all, it seems like a great immersion blender at a good price.

Tonya: It’s bigger than I thought it was going to be, but that’s not a problem. It has 12 blending speeds and a turbo button. I’ve only needed to go up to setting 5 while making whipped cream with the whisk. The only other thing we’ve done is purée strawberries, which it does a nice job of on setting 1. My only complaint and reason for the 4 star rating is that you have to hold down the power button for it to work. You can’t just turn it on and then let it go. If you let go of the power button it shuts off. It was tiring to whisk heavy cream while having to constantly hold down the power button.
