Laurie Search: I am 5'9", 161 pounds. I usually wear a large in most things, sometimes a medium. According to the size chart, I should get a size XL, and that's what I got. It smooths the stomach down nicely, but it's quite long, and where the bottom hem hits on the upper butt, it squeezes very tightly and makes a dent in my butt, with the fat really coming out underneath the hem. So I can't see this working in a dress.. It wouldn't make a smooth silhouette all the way. I don't know if the size I got is too small? But it seems like, from reading other's reviews, people a bit bigger than me or the same got smaller sizes and they were okay. So I'm not sure what to do about this! Maybe if I don't pull the bottom hem all the way down? If I figure it out, I'll try to update!
