A.K.: I got this for ease of cleanup, and it absolutely fits the bill. It's very thin, and foods into quarters and easily fits in a spliy sink. The unexpected benefit is that my 19 year old dachshund mix (long legs tho) was starting to have her back legs slide into a split when standing and eating. The non slip properties of theat help her stand normally with ease.
