EverymanEveryman: Everything fit perfectly. It reminded me of building erector set projects as a child 60 years ago. Stronger and lighter than the previous cargo carrier I wore out after 20 years. I expect this will last longer so my children or grandchildren can use it after I’m gone. Nice folks at the company. I use a carrier to carry fuel cans and trash outside of my vehicle. I will also use it for camp equipment and the large cooler.

TS: My review is not as expected. I did order the aluminum cargo carrier and it arrived promptly. I ordered it with the intention of using it to carry bikes by adding on the wheel holders similar to what the product pictures show. After a straightforward assembly process, I couldn't find my bikes in the width of this carrier. So double check your wheel base of your bikes to make sure it works for you.

This is where my experience gets interesting. This carrier is heavy snd I knew returning it would be not straightforward, but after contacting GoPlus customer support, they were able to help me ship this back for the return. They went above and beyond to help me and did so in a very quick manner. I only wish all sellers were as good as GoPlus. If you are buying anything from them, thry do stand behind their products AND most importantly their service! My best return experience on Amazon by far! Kudos!

I think this is a good product and worth the investment if you are willing to use your own fasteners.
Aluminium construction of the basket make the carrier light weight and easy to maneuver on/off the vehicle.
Black painted steel base meets requirements.
Assembly was quick and easy, ~30 min. using rivets instead of the included machine bolts and nuts. Tip: I inserted the black painted base into the receiver of my truck to have a stable work platform.
Stability - I think this will easily hold a few hundred pounds of evenly and secured gear.
Factory assembled aluminum components are securely fastened with aluminum rivets.

CONs
Included machine screws (phillips) and nuts are zinc coated soft "metal" and will corrode quickly. These are so soft, that I very easily striped the phillips head on 3 of the 5 screws and decided they were just not going to work for me. I recommend planning on ditching the included screws for aluminum rivets for stainless steel replacements. I used 3/16 dia. aluminum rivets and was satisfied with the results - picked up a 50pk from the home center. After I finished, I thought...

Grandpa45: Worked great for my needs. It seems to be of decent quality and should last a long time. Assembly was a bit tedious with about a million screws, nuts, and washers, but really didn't take that long. I cleared a workbench in the barn and built everything there so I didn't have to do it on the ground. It is quite big so you'll need a decent sized bench to work on it. The railing is just the right height in my opinion and is plenty sturdy for keeping things from sliding off. Even though the railing is sturdy, I typically do not strap stuff to the railing. I usually run the straps all the way under, weaving it through the railing, and strap the ends together. That way the straps are not pulling on the aluminum parts which could bend if too much force is applied. I've used this for multiple things so far, it's almost a permanent fixture on my car now.

My main reason for buying this was to make more room in my Honda CRV for our frequent five hour drives (each way) to our vacation home.
