Introducing the GoodBoy Comfortable Recovery E-Collar for Dogs and Cats! This inflatable donut collar is designed to protect your pet after surgery or wounds. It's made with a soft and lightweight material that makes it comfortable to wear and adjustable neck size that fits small, medium and large pets. The collar also prevents your pet from biting or licking the surgery sites. With a wide range of colors and designs, you're sure to find the perfect collar for your pet. Shop the GoodBoy Store today and discover the best recovery collars and cones with overall satisfaction and durability. JessaBell: Bought this years ago but only gave it a proper try recently. Seems more comfortable than the traditional cone, but also restricts less. My boy could still lick his neuter incision with this on. It also seems pretty easy for the dog to get off (using a regular collar through the inner loops does help with this somewhat).
Also, if the weather is cold consider that the air pressure inside the donut will reduce significantly every time your dog is outside. It plumps back up quickly once you are back in warmer air.

BoughtInGoodFaith: Have bought three of these, one initially, then another two subsequently after being reasonably satisfied with the first. And after waiting for over a month for the already relatively high price (>$40) to come down from something even higher, (ridiculously so, being almost double at >$70 !!), and despite being such a simple product.
However, one of the second two would deflate in virtually no time. I found that a relatively large length of the inner seam (~5-10 mm) of the air bladder was not joined/sealed.
Such a simple product, yet evidently the manufacturer and supplier elect not to do a basic quality check before shipment, preferring instead to cause both themselves and clients inconvenience from otherwise avoidable returns, refunds and negative reviews.
Star ratings warranted:
Quality control - 0.
Price - 2. (Many competitor products are around half the 'LOW' price point of this one, or only about a third of the 'HIGH' price point.
Function - 5. (Including comfort, the outer material is particularly soft vs that of three competitor products I also bought to compare.)
Overall - 2.

Julie W.: I bought this just in case my pup didn't like the cone from the vet's office when she had her spay. I was glad to have it, because three days in she was thrashing around trying to find a comfy spot to sleep with the cone. She seemed to take to the donut a lot quicker than the cone. We're 5 days into the donut and she has tried to scratch at her neck once or twice but not as much as with the cone. She has been able to eat and drink out of her bowl with it on, eat her chews (which is important because she's teething) and play with her puzzle toys. The only reason I gave it four stars is because even fully inflated she can reach her feet and clean herself after using the bathroom with it on. She cannot get anywhere near her incision, so it's not a problem for me, but might be for someone else.

Lena YongLena Yong: My Freya was obviously quite pleased with the collar because it was comfortable and she didn’t suffer from tunnel vision unlike the plastic collars. Would highly recommend this product to owners who need to keep pets from licking or scratching wounds or after surgery.

smshinagawa: My 76-lb, rescued, female Boxer, MINI (age ~8 yrs old), had lateral suture surgery to repair a ruptured cruciate ligament. She was in so much pain she barely moved at all for the first 2 days, just slept. Thus, I left her E collar off during that time. After 2 days she became very aware of her (unwrapped) surgical wound, and especially her shaved front Right forearm where her surgical IV was placed. She licked her R forearm (when I wasn't watching) nearly raw. Far less often Mini would lick her surgical wound. That's when I put Mini's clear, plastic E collar on (w/velcro attachments), which worked to prevent her from licking. However, everytime her collar hit the corner of the wall, furniture, or even a pillow, it hurt her neck and stopped her in her tracks, subjecting her legs to undue strain. She was already in so much pain, I didn't want her E collar causing more. That's when I did a search on Anazon for "soft E collar". After reading the descriptions & reviews for ~10 soft E collars, I decided to order the (soft, inflatable) GoodBoy Comfortable Recovery E Collar, which arrived in the morning 2 days later. I read the instructions and descriptive materials that came in the...

Sparr0w82: Dog description: Angel Bear. But her street name is Angel. Don't wanna ruin her rep! Angel is a Siberian Pain In The A**... Sorry, typo! Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees mix. She's around 65-75 lbs (depending on how many tacos she eats -- she's trying to keep her girlish figure, so I'd say she's about 70 lbs right now, right in the middle). I ordered her an XL. Her 9th birthday is October 21st. She is a 2011 pup, so she's dodged that "Millennial" bullet. (I'm considered a "Millennial," so... No judgment)! I've included a picture of her as a puppy at 8-weeks old in my lap, for the "awe" factor. I've also included pictures of her with her "Unicorn" look (don't worry, it was all non-toxic shampoo that colors when you use it and washes right out).
Angel enjoys chewing on (dog) toys and rip that pesky squeaker out and make sure to carry it around in her mouth so that nobody's allowed to squeak it but her. She also enjoys short walks on the sidewalk and children. But, her best super power is scaring the BEEJEEZUS out of everyone when she trots up to them to give them a friendly "Hi. I talk to strangers! Pet me and we can exchange Facebook info!" I get a kick out of all the people...

Eileen: I felt bad for the VERY heavy plastic on my little dog. He banged into walls, corners etc and could not get to the water bowl easily SO this seemed like a great alternative for his comfort. For the most part I like it much better than the cone. It is more comfortable by far than the plastic cone digging into his neck and jamming it thru every doorway and step. HOWEVER it still has to be watched. The straps in the back should have loops to keep the straps in place. Once the straps slip off of the donut they can scratch themselves and turn it around. Mine got into the stitches on day 3. I readjust it several times a day and check it often. It also made him snore a lot as the head position is very different. It is MUCH more comfortable in the long run for them to eat, see and sleep but watching it is still a necessity, ALSO knowing how tight to make it is challenging. If not tight enough they can try to claw at it and get foot stuck in it, TOO tight and it puts a lot of pressure on the throat. It took a bit of adjusting the strap to get it right. A better method of adjusting, would be helpful.
