Richard BlackmonRichard Blackmon: I received mine on time and in good condition, after that I took mine completely apart. Sanded it down and on the edges because I wanted it to be more rounded on the corners, and I changed all the hardware and strings to Black as well. To me it looks a lot better...
FYI>> upon sanding I discovered why they are so light, the edges are wood but towards the middle of the main body it is a fiberglass shell...It may matter to some buyers but I don't care because the price is so low.
One more thing it helps to have a nice 100 watt amp or self-powered speaker in order to really feel the bass hitting your chest..small tiny samps don't do this bass any justice.. (p.s. I changed the color to the same "High Temprature Chevy engine Block" Color from the Auto Parts Store..

R. M. M.: I have played the violin for many years and recently decided to pick up the bass for fun. I didn’t want an expensive instrument because I don’t know enough to justify the expense. This bass suits me perfectly. It looks great and the sound quality is fine. I have not found that there are any shortcomings with the instrument that might keep me from learning: it holds tune well, the action is fine, and nothing feels weird or awkward. I took it to a friend who plays multiple instruments in a band, and he was surprised at the quality for the price. He also noted that it was very light; I don’t know enough about basses to judge that, but I’ll take his word for it. I will probably move up to a higher quality bass some day, but for now this is great for my musical exploration and education.
There are a couple of things a buyer might want to change. The strap is very basic and cheap, and I’m going to search for a better one (and one that looks cooler). The pick that comes with the bass is flimsy, so I got some better ones—this might not be an issue if you’re planning to pluck, but I need to follow my bass idol Simon Gallup and use the pick.

Marco SantosMarco Santos: This is a $75 bass! Let's not kid ourselves. But you do get a lot for your money:
PROs -
* Neck feels great, raw maple feels good.
* Fret work is surprisingly excellent. No sharp ends at all, frets leveled, no buzzing (after truss rod adjustment).
* Fit and finish are excellent! Only flaw I found on mine is a tiny tooling mark on the 12 fret.
* Tone from both pickups are excellent! Honestly not inclined to upgrade.
* Tuners are excellent
* Hardware are generic so easy to swap. I already ordered black bridge and tuners to complete the look.
* Super light body (which can be a CON to some).
CONs -
* Needed a quick trussrod adjustment (par for thr course even with more expensive guitars really)
* Neck pickup tone pot produces a noticeable hiss when cranked up, could be grounding issue. You only hear it when playing low volumes, completely negligible in band setting.
* Weird tone pot wiring - each one acts as a master tone knob. Not wrong just unusual.
* Tooling mark on the 12th fret
* Neck heavy and does neck dive.
I struggle to even name the CONs as I remember picking up Squires for twice the price back in the 90s that are not...

Amazon Customer: I am very impressed by the quality of this bass. I'm 72 years old and have been playing mostly guitar since I was 13. I took double bass lessons during my teens and played in a couple of garage bands and taught guitar up until 5 years ago. I bought this bass to to keep my hands exercised and I am very impressed with how well this instrument is built. Very little tweaking was needed to improve the playability. Something that instruments costing 5 times as much need as well. Great instrument for a young or new player. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Susan: I already have a Glarry Stratocaster and am so pleased with it that I wanted to try their version of the Jazz Bass.
The paint and finish on the body is immaculate and seems to me to be as good as that on the Fender even at its lower price point.
The neck is not as good its Fender counterpart; the fret ends are not as finished and the semi-gloss / matte back feels a little 'draggy', not as fast as the Fender.
If it doesn't wear-in and improve over time I'll consider getting another neck, but this a very usable and being slightly lighter overall than the Fender is actually easier to play... highly recommended!

David StoutDavid Stout: This review will cover both the utility of the GJazz for beginners, and its value as a platform for upgrades/modification.
My Glarry arrived earlier than expected, well protected and completely undamaged.
Unboxing it revealed a mixed bag. Most issues I have revolve around the neck, and the finishing.
Neck is solidly made of hard maple and a nice rosewood slab fretboard. The edges on the headstock are done a bit crudely, and the Glarry logo appears to be silkscreened on. It isn't coated, and might easily rub off. It is sharp and clear.
The frets are installed cleanly. The fret ends are not sharp, but could use more finishing. Frets themselves could use a final buff. The tuners are a trifle rough; easy fix with a dab of light grease. They do have a bit of backlash. They tune well enough, and do hold tune.
The GJazz is sold as a substitute or analog for the Fender Jazz Bass, but the neck is completely different in profile. Width at the nut is more like a Precision, and it is thicker too. Players with smaller hands will need to get used to it. It is not heavy enough to neck dive, and it does-JUST- balance.
The neck plate, bridge, and control...

william d.: Fantastic deal for price .. of course it can use a bit of sanding here and there (mostly tone knobs) but the overall the import issues (frets, keys, neck) are just fine out of the box. DIY players will love this instrument.
If you play a 3 hour gig, this bass is light weight and balanced.
Plus the natural finish on the body is Beautiful !!!
