Shannon Rose: Rachel is a great writer. Self help books are usually something I avoid but Rachel however, creates an interesting point on a lot of topics from mothers having to show up for EVERYTHING which can stressing. To helping you understand being selfish is a great way to run a business or live your life. I would highly recommend this book - beautiful and insightful!

T: If you’ve paid any attention to the personal growth world lately, you’ve probably noticed the name Rachel Hollis and her special best friend brand of making her audience confront their own B.S. Her first book Girl, Wash Your Face is a New York Times Bestseller. She has a sold out personal development conference and a successful company she runs with her husband. But does this new book Girl, Stop Apologizing hold up the hype? Here are six things to consider before buying/reading this book….
Girl, listen to your older sister!
Rachel Hollis is known for her engaging and straight-talking style. She truly feels like an older, wiser, sister who’s sitting down to dish with a bowl of ice cream or a mimosa at brunch. This makes the writing approachable and fun to read! There were many times I found myself laughing out loud and smiling. This kept me wanting to read more.
Girl, do your research!
Recently, Hollis has been accused of stealing quotes from others and passing them off as her own on her Instagram. She seems to that in her book as well. If she does reference something that isn’t her own, she says “A wise person once said…” or something like that. Instead...

Mr. & Mrs.Mr. & Mrs.: I loved this even more than her last book: Girl, Wash Your Face
Rachel Hollis has this magical way of explaining things clearly while making me stretch and challenge my thoughts.
I love how she breaks the book into clear parts and walks you smoothly through growth & development.
Most of what she says isn't unique, but she puts it together in a way that hits home. I like her spirit and spunk and tell it like it is style

Breanne E Failor: As a mom of three it’s hard to find time to read, so I tend to listen to most of my books, but I was lucky enough to have a flight right after I received my copy of this book so I had a chunk of time to read, and let me start by saying this is a quick and practical read. True to Rachel Hollis she tells great stories, she’s engaging and she gives you practical tips that you can use in your life today. Are any of the ideas she gives, new or mind blowing, no, but I don’t think that’s what we expect from Rachel, well I don’t. What made me fall in love with her writing and ideas are that she made me feel less alone. I found myself as I read the book, saying out loud to a plane full of strangers, oh my goodness that’s exactly how I feel, or even AMEN (I’m a catholic that converted from the episcopal church, we don’t yell out things like that, we mumble prayers and keep to ourselves) but this really hit home for me.
The book is broken into three parts, letting go of excuses, adopting new habits and acquiring new skills.
In letting go of excuses she hits you hard, she doesn’t want to hear, but that doesn’t work for me or I’m not that kind of person, she...

Suzanne @ InBalanseSuzanne @ InBalanse: I've been a huge fan of Rachel Hollis for several years now. I fell in love with her fiction series (Party Girl) and then with Girl Wash Your Face, so I couldn't wait be able to read Girl Stop Apologizing. As expected, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I find Rachel to be super motivating and inspiring, I love her writing style, and how easily she makes her points. I've seen Rachel live several times, so the a lot of the content in the book wasn't completely new to me, but it was presented in such a simple and relatable format that I was all fired up when I finished! Her points are easy to understand, remember and follow; she describes the tools that worked for her in achieving her goals and details how they can work for anyone, from rock-star entrepreneur to SAHM. What I loved most is that you don't have to be a business mogul to benefit from reading this book, even though it's written by one. It's an easy read that presents key advice that anyone can (and should) use to go from where you are now, to where you want to be. I loved it!
